number one on my “desk” ..”with a bullet”’
Fox News? Conservative? Bwaa hahahaha.
Drudge is my first global news stop in the am. Is there a rating of ‘Conservative Forums’? FR’s gotta be #1 in that category.
This is a terrific site, and a wonderful place for many similarly minded people to gather online.
However, as a discussion forum, it’s....... Well, it was probably a great discussion forum 15 years ago. This is regarding the forum software itself, forum features, ect. I know full well they aren’t operating on a huge Soros/DNC funded budget, don’t run ads, probably don’t have a huge infrastructure, and probably don’t have a huge staff on hand.
I give them a pass when it comes to all of that stuff though. Having said that, this forum is relatively stable, performs well, and just plain works at what it does and needs to do. Would be nice to have a few more features though. FReepers have cried for the ability to Edit their own posts - if only for a short time after posting, for as long as I can remember.(this would certainly put the grammar police out of business for a large part lol)
Some text formatting options for posts would be nice as well. Though it makes it a little interesting for newbish people having to learn basic HTML stuff to format text and embed images. lol
Yeah, that jumped out at me. FN is NOT a “Conservative” website.
I’m sure I’d necessarily refer to Drudge as a Conservative site. Might have a slightly rightward tilt, but I believe Drudge is more Libertarian than anything else.
This is my number one site.
Since the Year 1943, according to its web site, Since 1943, AAPS has been dedicated to the highest ethical standards of the Oath of Hippocrates and to preserving the sanctity of the patient-physician relationship and the practice of private medicine. "AAPS has been dedicated to the highest ethical standards of the Oath of Hippocrates and to preserving the sanctity of the patient-physician relationship and the practice of private medicine," Further, the web site declares, "For almost 70 years, we have consistently stood for ethical patient-centered medicinethe kind only possible in a free market medical system."
At a time when another view is threatening Americans' health care, this organization stands tall in its defense of freedom.
Its Alerts, Bulletins and Newsletters provide reliable information for conservatives.
Biggest surprise to me is The Blaze being at number 6 on the list. That’s Glenn Beck’s network. I think I’ve only been to it a couple of times. It looked like a very well done site. Didn’t dig around on it much, was just looking for an audio stream for his show at the time.
Same here! Has been the first site I visit in the morning, and the last site I visit at night, for going on 11 years now.
Aha, I joined a few weeks ahead of you!
Becks site is full of cookies and all sorts of other tracking crap...
lol Indeed you did!
Beat me by three or so weeks. lol!
PS: Love those pics on your profile page! If that’s near where you live, that must be really special.
I live in mountains..... But THOSE are some MOUNTAINS! lol!
The sunset picture is from my back deck. That is the Continental Divide just about 10 miles to the west. I can see about 70 miles of the Continental Divide from my living room window.
That’s awesome!
I was also surprised. I know little about Glenn Beck but he doesn’t seem conservative. The one thing I agree with him is opposition to Common Core.
As Ive ranted in other threads, conservative does not necessarily mean constitutional. And FR is one of the few constitutional web sites, freepers often referencing specific constitutional clauses to expose the corrupt, Constitution-ignoring federal government.
Drudge is a portal to a wide range of sites. It is incorrect to call it conservative, although Matt does not seem to be a leftist.
Its how I found FR 15 years ago.
