give faculty members more of a role in residential life

That will spice things up!

Yes, the drinking age in NH is 21.

I believe this is more likely something their legal council thought up to potentially lesser their liability from someone drinking themselves to death.

I remember when I was at SU. Some freshmen drank a bottle of Vodka the first weekend of school. I died. He had never drank before according to people who knew him. His parents sued.

Read Ann Coulter’s last column on Collages. Some raw meat in it.

I’m sure there are taverns right across the street that will meet the demand.

U of Chicago's campus area is zoned dry. The Edwardo's Pizza on 57th Street doesn't even offer beer. There was one private cub in Ida Noyes Hall that had alcohol available. Oh, and there were university sponsored occasional sherry hours and IDs were not checked. Basically, an effort to keep some aspects of Chicago from encroaching more into the area.

threatened to do away with fraternities or other groups that fail “to elevate and not denigrate the Dartmouth experience.”

So the homosexual groups are going to be banned as well?

Will 17% alcohol ale be tolerated?
http://www.shmaltzbrewing.com/HEBREW/j17.html

How about 27% alcohol ale?
http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/eats/samuel-adams-unveils-high-octane-utopias-beer-150-a-bottle-27-alcohol-banned-13-states-article-1.431861

How about 11% ale?
http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/412/1230/

will they prohibit anything stronger than 3.5% near beer?

“give faculty members more of a role in residential life”

If it is anything like high schools these days, that means schtupping the students.

God willing, we all land on whisky, neat, with a beer back when we grow up.

Whiskey is terrible.
I'd much rather a vodka or rum.

Even better: a good beer. (Not the Budweiser, Miller, Coors — things like a good cream stout, golden lager, steam-beer, etc.)

I work in Hanover, and live nearby in Lebanon, NH ( a good place to live), and this will not stop them that much for they have Molly’s, The Salt Hill Pub, and Murphy’s ( which has good white wine from New Zealand), plus a lot of others they can go to, so that they can get smashed.

Oh for the love of God — If they can’t keep these special little snowflakes from smoking weed (which, oh my God is illegal) then how in the hell are they going to keep them from drinking whisky?!?

The bottom line is Darwin was right, let the precious little snowflakes prove it...

A phase we all go through, along with Fancy Rum Drinks, Chick-tinis, Exotic Beer/Mixing With Beer, and What We Think Are Grown-up Drinks.

God willing, we all land on whisky, neat, with a beer back when we grow up.

Awesome....

I went to a few pretty wild parties with Hillsdale college students when I was a youngster.

I know. I was one of the adults in Hillsdale whom you kept waking up.

>>Whiskey is terrible.<<

I have known some people who do not care for it. So long as guys don’t end up with chick drinks as their standard, it’s all good :)

When I was at the University of Oregon in the late 70’s the local beer distributor made a mistake on ordering Lowenbrau beer - something along the lines of two extra zeros on the order...several boxcars of Lowenbrau showed up when they were expecting maybe five pallets!

They sold the beer for $5.00 per case and distributor was within walking distance of the ‘alcohol free’ dorms.

There were many dormies who were walking with suitcases to and from the distributor - many times a day...

The RA’s would plan raids (which were known about in advance) - conducted one floor at a time - ALL the beer was hidden on the third floor when the ‘raid’ began on the first -— then the ‘raid’ continued on the second floor all the while ALL of the beer was going down the stairway via a ‘bucket’ brigade to the cleared first floor...somehow the beer was never found!

Man it was something to see!
