Dr. Efraim Zuroff, the head Nazi hunter at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, told Arutz Sheva on Tuesday in time for International Holocaust Memorial Day that the battle over the Holocaust lives onand is being waged on the field of public memory.
According to Zuroff, aside from the widespread scourge of Holocaust denial, a new phenomenon has reared its head recently in eastern Europe, where there are attempts to minimize the genocidal horrors committed against the Jewish people and revise history.
This phenomenon should worry the state of Israel and the Foreign Ministry, emphasized Zuroff. In post-Communist eastern Europe, theyre trying to play down the crimes of the Nazi cooperators and claim that the crimes of the Communists were just as bad, and that both of them committed genocide.
Zuroff elaborated: Theyre trying to reduce the uniqueness of the Holocaust, and even to claim that among the Communist criminals were Jews too.

In George "Spooky Guy" Soros, it's a 3-fer. A Jewish, Commie, cooperator.
Take Poland - 20% of the population were killed during WWII, half of these were of Jewish origin * and the other half were Poles. The Communists were equal opportunity killers
Or Belarus -- huge numbers were killed, up to 25% of the population - jewish and non-Jewish
Well, Soviet Communism certainly killed more people than the Holocaust and there were no doubt Jewish nomenklatura.
Probably using the bible of David Irving ......

I watched this documentary last night on HBO. Part of it was made by Alfred Hitchcock, but was never released.
Beyond *graphic*. But it reminds us how evil the Nazis were. And even the German people who live near these camps. Unbelievable.
While this is certainly true it doesn't lessen the horror or magnitude of the holocaust one bit.
Ping!
The difference is that the Soviets didn’t have the audacity to film and document their crimes like the Nazis did. So we have all of these images of what the Nazis did, but precious little visual evidence of what the Bolsheviks did.
Most of the images were from British film makers from April 1945 when most of these camps were discovered/rescued. They even show some of the Nazis being forced to move the naked bodies. The bodies were nothing, but skin and bone. They were starved to death.
And documentation showed that Hitler’s intent was to wipe out Poles as a race by the 1970s through forced sterilization, but they wanted to get some slave labor out of them before killing them off.
And as one prominent Nazi said, “First the Saturday people, then the Sunday People.”

How does showing the Communists' crimes "were just as bad" as those of the Nazis lessen the Nazi crimes? It should show that the Communists were at least as psychotic as the Nazis. The Communists were able to kill millions more than the Nazis because the Communists usually weren't fighting wars (directly at least) while killing their own citizens on an industrial scale (e.g., Stalin and Mao).
Stalin was very anti-semitic as well, he had most of the original Jewish Bolsheviks bumped off.

It (the Holocaust) never happened, and if you dont shut up, it will happen again!People really are brought up with doublethink.
There’s a podcast I listed to called Hardcore History, and he occasionally talks about what he calls “The million-way tie for the worst thing in human history.”
Will it be repeated?......Was it on the History Channel?
During the era of Communist rule, the official version of history talked about the Nazi crimes but omitted the fact that they especially targeted Jews...so people who grew up in the post-war era may be poorly informed about the Holocaust. Of course there have been 25 years since the downfall of Communism when objective information has been easier to come by.
