Donna Douglas, who played the buxom tomboy Elly May Clampett on the hit 1960s sitcom "The Beverly Hillbillies," has died.
Douglas died Thursday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, near her hometown of Zachary. The cause of death was pancreatic cancer, said her niece, Charlene Smith. Douglas was 82.
She was best known for her role in "The Beverly Hillbillies," the CBS comedy about a backwoods Ozark family who moved to Beverly Hills after striking it rich from oil discovered on their land.

I feel sorry for those folks 40 years from now that will hear about the passing of, say, Kim Kardashian and then try to come up with one single reason why they should care.
The poster, Frank Cannon, had a passing moment of lucidity and will probably get zotted (or whatever they do over there in that leftist cesspool).
Sad. I was totally in love with her! And Ginger too.
She’s also one of those most responsible for my voice change when I was a young lad.
I didn’t realize she was that old.
What a sweetie! Dreamed of swimming with Elly in the see-ment pond.
I had a youthful crush on her (when she was in her 20s).
RIP
Indeed, when Douglas gave her autograph, she included a biblical verse ("Trust in the Lord with all your heart..."), according to New Orleans TV station WAFB.
RIP Donna.
Heck I thougt she was much younger. Wrangler Jane 65ish.
Lucid comment indeed.
The poster, Frank Cannon,

Miss her and her critters. Rumor has it she lived in barn while attending Rema Bible College.
I met her once. She was working at the Offshore Oil Drilling Conference in Houston in the 1970s. She was nice and very pretty — still. May she R.I.P. Pan CA is a rotten disease.
Just damn...
I was wrong. She was in her 30s during most of the Beverly Hillbillies run.
“Heck I thougt she was much younger. Wrangler Jane 65ish.”
Wrangler Jane (Melody Patterson) was very young when she was hired for F-Troop. I think she was 17 when cast and 18 when the show started.
She was one of those rare people who was pretty enough that she did not have a physically weak viewing angle.
She always looked good.
Elly was just here in our town a few weeks ago. She came here often and spent time with her friend who lives just around the corner. Also, just heard that Little Jimmy Dickens has passed. 2015 is off to a bad start.
Unknown date, but as Elly Mae
