Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) is joining the ballet at least for one night.
The congresswoman is reprising her role as a merry widow in the Washington Ballets production of The Nutcracker on Saturday.
Its the third time Norton, 77, has taken to the stage with the ballet company. Other Washington fixtures, including Mayor Vincent Gray (D) and the late former Mayor Marion Barry (D) have appeared in the classic Tchaikovsky ballet.
There is no more delightful fun than seeing or being lucky enough to be asked to perform in The Nutcracker, Norton said in a statement. Isnt this every kids dream?
She plays the nut
Is Hillary the Nutcracker?
Or a fairy.
I thought Norton was already busy doing “The Ballbuster”.
She was on Hannity last night and admitted to not caring about the facts of the Michael Brown case.
She plays the RAT Queen (replacing the Mouse King).
Who cares? I am so, so , so sick of racial profiling. Is she the Brazil nut?
Ballet. Why don’t they just find taller girls?
I was in Dennis Nahat’s Nutcracker two years in a row, as a Spanish and Russian Guard.
Her head IS shaped like a nut. I’d go with a Filbert.
Who's gonna play the cracker? And what self-respecting cracka would appear in a movie with her?
Eleanor looks deep in thought, wondering “Should I tell Hannity about my fantasy life and my magical robes? Nah, better not. Might ruin my reputation!”
Another embarrassment of DC.
She was reading the script for nutcracker instead of reading the evidence.

For those who only read the headline, someone please explain how they will incorporate a boxing match into a ballet? And which is the Nutcracker and which is the Rat-king?
