A jihadist serving life in prison on terror charges brought in the wake of 9/11 has claimed the Saudi Arabian royal family helped finance the plot. Zacarias Moussaoui, 46, says an unnamed Saudi Prince paid for flying lessons for him and the 19 terrorists who hijacked planes in the September 11 attacks in the run-up to the atrocities.

Most student pilots come to America to learn to fly. They have to. When I went to flight school I was one of only a handful of American students. All the rest were Egyptian, Saudis, Iraqis, Nigeria, Chad, Venezuela, Brazil, etc....

The Middle East students were royalty relatives and had paid handlers here to manage their affairs. The students themselves would never even consider who was paying for their education. That's not how the elite in the region operate. They would buy a brand new car, and when it got a flat they would just abandon it and get another. Who pays their way is beneath them.

One was SA Ambassador to the US at the time of 9-11. I’d be safe to say that 75% of all flight training in the United States is of foreign students. Our system is the global standard for flight training. Even English is the required language around the world when flying.

That the Saudi monarchy is to blame is exactly the logic Bin Laden was hoping for when he chose the hijackers. The Saudi populace are Islamists closer to Bin Laden's beliefs (that global conquest is the immediate duty of every Muslim) than those of the royals, who are relative moderates. The Saudi royals not only invited US troops to set up bases on Saudi soil, they paid the US $20b for Desert Storm. This kind of logic would suggest that the US should go to war with South Korea because Seung-Hui Cho killed 32 people in cold blood.

They used our troops to take out their enemy Saddam Hussein and Iraq out. It's kind of like how they want to use our troops to take our Syria in order to get that gas pipline that Assad refused to sell them.

What’s interesting about that is one of their flight instructors said they couldn’t fly worth Shi’ite. And yet they were able to fly those heavies like professionals into the Pentagon and the WTC 1 and 2.
