A hatchet-wielding attacker charged a group of New York City police officers posing for a photograph on Thursday, wounded two, one critically, before the assailant was shot dead, police said. The officers were on foot patrol when they were asked by a freelance photographer to pose for a picture on a Queens street at about 2 p.m., a New York Police Department spokesman said.
Suddenly a man carrying a hatchet charged the officers, swinging it and striking one officer in the right arm and then swinging it again and striking a second officer in the head, the spokesman said.

No further mention on the identity or any further investigation on this 'freelance photographer' who so conveniently distracted these 'rookie' officers coincidental to this hatchet attack. Was this a lone wolf attack by Zale Thompson (aka Zaim Faouq Abdul-Malik) or was it coordinated/pre-staged for media-ready video distribution by IS/ISIS/ISIL abetters?
Hmmm perhaps this photographer was in on it.
sound like a set up to me
Awfully convenient that 4 cops just happen to be put together to be attacked. But heck I’m sure plenty of people walk the streets with shiny new hatchets.
Obama admin unilaterally changes law to allow
"immigrants with limited" terror contact into US
The Daily Caller | 2/5/14 / FR Posted by Nachum
The Obama administration has issued new exemptions to a law that bars certain asylum-seekers and refugees who provided limited material support to terrorists who are believed to pose no threat from the U.S.
The Department of Homeland Security and the State Department published the new exemptions Wednesday in the Federal Register to narrow a ban in the Immigration and Nationality Act excluding refugees and asylum seekers who had provided limited material support, no matter how minor, to terrorists.
These exemptions cover five kinds of limited material support that have adversely and unfairly affected refugees and asylum seekers with no tangible connection to terrorism: material support that was insignificant in amount or provided incidentally in the course of everyday social, commercial, family or humanitarian interactions, or under significant pressure, a DHS official explained to The Daily Caller.
Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson and Secretary of State John Kerry signed the exemptions. DHS contends that the law change is commonsense and that immigration procedures will remain the same in other respects. (Excerpt) Read more at dailycaller.com ...

WRT THE AXE-WIELDING TERRORIST WHO ATTACKED NY COPS--VOTERS NEED TO ASK WHAT CUOMO DID ABOUT THIS?
REFERENCE Federal outreach to Muslim-American communities is a pillar of Obama counter-terrorism strategy
Washington post | 5/25/2013 | ap / FR Posted by tobyhill
Within hours of the Boston Marathon blasts, US government officials and Muslims in Boston called each other to offer assistance. These calls were the fruits of years of cultivating such relationships in an effort to ultimately prevent the very type of attack Boston experienced April 15....
Representatives from the US Departments of Justice and Homeland Security called to offer support to Muslim communities......just in case THEY suffered backlash or threats. (more on FR).
WRT THE AXE-WIELDING TERRORIST WHO ATTACKED NY COPS--VOTERS NEED TO ASK WHAT CUOMO DID ABOUT THIS?
Now, just because this guy was a Muslim doesn’t mean that Islam is a factor in this violence...
Seriously, are people that deluded?? Cowardly?? On the same side??
If so, we can lay at least part of the liability at the feet of the lying sack o' shiite mainstream media for milking the Ferguson story for months.
Also goes to show you the very small amount of time (and minimum distance) you have to deploy your weapon to address a threat.
Makes ya wonder. Also, think Abdul was a convert to being a Moslem in prison?
Based on all the other reports I’ve read about this attack, I think “freelance photographer” is the wrong term, as it implies that the person was some sort of professional photographer. Sounds like it was just some random person on the street, who asked the cops to take a picture. I’ve lived in and around NYC for most of my life, and I see that happen all the time.
I doubt the photo guy was involved in the attack. From other reports, it sounds like the attacked had been milling around for quite some time, likely waiting for the right opportunity.
Thank God NYC has strict gun laws. Can you imagine? Someone might have shot the bastard!
But yes, sarcasm aside, you are dead on correct. The bottom like is that Democrats want people to die like this and often.
This wouldn’t have happened if we had hatchet control.
The bottom like is that Democrats want people to die like this and often.
I think most of them honestly believe that if the “mainstream” culture people weren’t so powerful (ie, able to defend themselves) that the minority ethnicity/culture would then not feel “threatened” into attacking people.
Twisted thinking, I know, but there’s an explanation for it in Romans 1. “depraved mind”
I don’t doubt that some really do believe that. I know they use it for propaganda but I’m sure some really are that stupid.
There’s a reason people like that used to be brought to the edge of town and pointed to the next one down the road. Trouble is, now all the towns are full.
Don’t laugh. The UK just recently proposed it IIRC. Seriously. There was something to that effect RE their knife control laws after the sudden jihadi episode with the meat cleaver last year.
According to the "Gothamist",
A black attacker and white cops, no less...
It is normal to flood high-crime areas with rookie cops (Operation Impact), typically walking a beat on foot. If there was an assault/dispute in such an areal, it would not be unusual for a number of rookies to respond.
Same here. They need to find the photographer and clear him or charge him.
It does seem to be an interesting coincidence. The attack against the police was an attack on authority. One can only wonder why he didn’t attack unarmed citizens instead of armed policemen.
