SAN JOSE, CA -- A San Jose homeowner captured a mountain lion in front of his home with a surveillance camera Tuesday morning.
After the motion detector alarm on his surveillance camera went off, David Tang reviewed his video and saw the animal standing on his car.
"People walk around here at night time and walk with their dogs, so it's dangerous for the people if they don't know," Tang said.

dropped in for breakfast..
We lived north of San Jose 15 years ago. A neighbor found a lion laying in his driveway one morning. He called animal control. They came out and gave him a booklet. “Living With Lions”.
Leave my kids alone! You have been warned!
The drought is forcing animals out of the foothills. I’m finding all kinds of creatures in my backyard recently.
whoa there
A friend who lives on the west face of the Grand Tetons got up one morning to find her car punctured like a tin can on both sides. She also found claw marks on the outside wall next to her upstairs bedroom. We stayed in that bedroom and she gave us pepper spray although she said it was probably a grizzly since it was obviously so big in which case pepper spray would just p*ss it off.
Fill a kiddie pool with water and it will look like a Disney nature scene all the critters that will come to drink.
What’s a good game/surveillance camera that doesn’t cost too much money? I see them for around $70 and up to $200 or more. I think I saw one with wifi so you could check or download what has been recorded without disturbing the camera.
I hate it when I find cat footprints on my car in the morning!
Where did the mountain lion get the surveillance camera?
“Here, kitty, kitty, kitty. Come snuggle with Ma Ma.”
Walking a dog in Cougar country is best described as “Trolling for cougar.”
When shot on sight, ambush predators soon learn which potential prey to avoid.
Once, California cougar learned from their mothers that the two legged thing was a “telescopic dog”, able to bark when it saw a cougar and bite it regardless of how far away it was.
Then Commiefornia Urban Voters passed a law banning the shooting of cougars. Soon young cougar were grabbing women by the face and dragging them off to eat.
Note the following:
23 April. (Attack #8, death #4) Barbara Schoener, 40, a friend of my sister and a long-distance runner in excellent physical shape, was killed by an 80-pound female mountain lion in Northern California on the American River Canyon trail in the Auburn State Recreation Area.
California is not the Garden Of Eden, and they can’t create a place where cougar lived alongside people - there is a limit to the powers of mere bureaucraps and idiotic socialism infected voters.
Now, cougars eat the fools - a punishment they brought on themselves.
That headline could have been written about my sister-in-law, if we understood CA to mean Canada rather than California. (The cat was eventually caught, but it took a lot of men)
The Beast in the Garden.
Fill that kidie pool with old antifreeze and the cougar problem is solved because drinking antifreeze causes cougar to behave like frogs - they croak!
;-0
However, is not legal to fill a pool with anti-freeze. Leaving the drain basin out, however . . . .
They don’t really teach each other, but the bolder ones die off sooner.
You’re mean.
