New York City police Tuesday were investigating how the two American flags that historically sit on top of the Brooklyn Bridge's 273-foot towers were stolen and replaced with two white flags, which are known universally to symbolize surrender.
The white flags were removed by noon, but police said they are investigating the issue, which may indicate a serious security breach on one of the city's most secured landmarks.

Well if you must know where I was I was at the beach this morning! If you read my post you will see I already asked for this thread to be pulled..............At least I do follow up with trying not to take away from others when something has already been posted which did not show up on my search prior to posting....which is more then some do. :)

All I can think of is the black and white checked flag that starts a race.
The WHITE flag probably is the symbol of American SURRENDERING to the world...thanks to that piece of sludge that STUPID Americans voted into office TWICE.
The Senate has 53 Democrats, 2 Independents who sleep with the Democrats and 45 Republicans.
The House has 199 Democrats, 2 Independents and 234 Republicans.

It’s hard to believe that people could climb to the top of that bridge and raise a white flag and nobody would see the event. Evidently, this is no longer the City that never sleeps.
What this tells me .. the terrorists have taken note .. and the next climber will be planting something other than a white flag on the top of that bridge. Woe to those who have to cross it every day .. wondering if this is the day the bridge will explode and land in the river ..??

I wasn’t suggesting that your post be pulled. Just that this issue had been pretty thoroughly covered early this morning when the flags were first noticed.

Thanks. I always ask for my post to get pulled when there is a double post the Admin has said they are leaving it because not everyone saw it this morning. I did search under the whole title and anything close...guess FR had so many different posts today that must be why nothing came up...hugs
Looking at the video of a group at the top of the bridge towers? At least they’ve closed the barn door now that the horse has already wandered away.
