The new "Black Jesus" comedy has some protesting the depiction of Jesus as a marijuana-smoking, beer-drinking character in the show. Paul Scott, a self-proclaimed minister of the Messianic Afrikan Nation, has called for a boycott of the upcoming comedy, arguing that it "[makes] a mockery of the concept of a Black Messiah."

According to his blog, the North Carolina-based minister argues that "the show does a disservice to the Black leaders and theologians who have dedicated their lives to advancing a Black Liberation Theology," adding that he believes "the Black community needs to see a proper image of a Black Messiah in 2014."

Adult Swim cartoons specialize in the dark, depraved and disturbing take on life. I don’t watch them now that I know what to expect. I’m surprised they don’t show their character sharing needles along with everything else.
I said this earlier today. We are obviously in the Last Days. So much hatred against Jews and Christians has reached a boiling point. I suspect that Christians in this country will have to register soon so they can be picked up later, like the Jews were in Germany. So much hatred. All because Jesus and Israel represent Morality and Sanctification and Repentance.

Maybe, but in my show the mo-ham is going to be North Korean. In every show he’ll kill people for some reason or no reason at all. And then he’ll kill the little girls he rapes for the family’s honor. Then he’ll kill them for letting him kill the little girls. Then send an executioner out into a field to behead the family, and then he’ll direct mortar fire on to the family, and when people protest “But you’ll kill the executioner, too” he laughs and laughs and stabs the person protesting and orders “open fire”. Then he has sex with a goat. He’s angry because he’s short, fat and has a pile of bouffant under his head rags.

So, at least it’s got THAT goin’ for it. Anything that mocks liberation theology is okay in my book. And Jesus is not hurt a whit by this adolescent “comedy”. And BTW: “Make no mistake - God will not be mocked.”
Since he is so “edgy”when will his comedy about a beer drinking, pot smoking Mohammed be coming out?

Where is the outrage of South park mocking Joseph Smith and the Mormon cult?
Does both the Mohammed and the Mormon cult champion “liberation socialism”?
