I love them all!
Just Imagine!
AAAAAAAAAAAARGH
the world is going to end !!!
Willard did not win !!!
Nor did he place...
OH NOOOOOOOOOOEZ !!!!!!
Carson has less political experience than Obama had when he first ran. If it looks like he is even being taken seriously, the MSM/Dems/GOPelites will unleash hell. He has no idea what politics is like. He should run for a few lower level local positions — if he can’t be elected there, he can’t be elected at a national level.
Do conservatives want to win or are they satisfied with another also-ran?
Cruz has the track record and he's exceptional at articulating conservative values and priorities. Jeff Sessions is developing a very fine voice for expressing the issues and has an impressive track record. Marc Rubio could still redeem himself with some solid votes to reverse the invasion of the US.
I trust NO ONE who doesn't have a DC voting record anymore. It's just too amazing how many plants have gotten to DC by lying to the voters.
I like Dr. Carson but I fear he’ll be a replay of Herman Cain. Some on the right desperately want someone with black skin to run essentially against Obama but I think that’s a mistake. There are far more Hispanics than blacks and we can skim off far more of them than we will the 95% Democrat voting blacks.
After Ron Paul won straw poll after straw poll at these types of events, I stopped giving them much credibility.
No political experience is a plus+ as far as I am concerned. Dr. Carson’s message is clear and concise and he is extremely likeable. In the end it is the message that carries the day if it is articulated correctly. Carson can do that.
The trouble with a Ben Carson candidacy is that only the Democrats can play identity politics. Republicans are smeared as phony when they try it.
Agreed. I like the guy, but he has never run for ANY office before. His nomination would be a disaster, IMO. Bob
Agreed. But he still won't win. However, if by some stroke of luck he gets the nomination, I'll quit my job to work for his election.
Agree.
Also, his group was a main sponsor of the event.
I love the pastoral countenance of dear Dr. Carson, but, “no”, to supporting him for the nomination. He is a philosopher at heart in a field of land minds, in a time when our survival requires survival instinct, command and action, and nearly reflexive hand to hand combat.
My choice would be Jeff Sessions for president, but he has no ambition to be president, which is probably why he can be and IS so deliberative and ploddingly intellectually honest.
In fact, because Jeff can be a firebrand, I have wondered if that ability is why he is very measured with the frequency of his speeches and the issues he takes on. He does not seem to want to stand out, or draw a cult following, or be drafted, or run for president. I have wondered why.
Cruz, has the intellect and disposition to be a fine president, a true conservative and moral, so the general election would be tough to win. He and Rand Paul will make a hard fight for the nomination, especially with these stupid, rigged open primaries made deadly for conservatives, and will hurt Cruz, but help Paul.
WOW-Intelligent, articulate, principled, experienced, capable and honorable people to occupy the WH!
Incredible!!
Well said. I might accept a lack of political experience if a candidate has a long and distinguished history of high-level executive experience. Ben Carson is a man of proven character and a gifted neurosurgeon, but he has never been solely responsible for running any major organization. No major business would hire a chief executive who had never run lesser organizations before - that would be lunacy. So why would the largest and most powerful organization in the world hire a completely inexperienced chief executive whose actions affect not just financial solvency but life and death for millions of people? Have we learned nothing from watching Obama pretending to be the President?
And since Carson lacks a political record as you point out, we don't know where he stands on many important issues. We do know that he is squishy on the Second Amendment, so what other surprises might we find? This is no time to be grasping blindly for a savior!
If history is a guide, we should look for successful governors who have the proven skills to handle the everyday roles of chief executive: setting the overall course and key objectives, assembling an effective team and making clear what he expects of them, supervising their work through immediate subordinate leaders, and then holding those key subordinates accountable. This is what effective leaders do, how they stay on top of the job, and why they are better prepared to deal with inevitable crises when they arise. The Oval Office is not a place for on the job training for Democrats or Republicans.
Weird, isn’t it? :-)
Perhaps. But he's an intellectually honest man, and therefore, he'd be willing to change his stance on the 2nd amendment if a convincing case is made to him. That's more than can be said for any Democrat, and 99% of Republicans. I don't have to agree with a candidate on every issue if I believe he's intellectually honest.
As much as I like Carson, I don't think he stands a chance of winning either the nomination or the election. But like I said, if by some stroke of luck he gets the nomination, I'll quit my job to work for his election.
Look at those “racist” Tea Party types, defeating the Leftist notion of them as racist, and where is the LameStreamMedia in reporting Carson’s landslide win in the poll? Absent as usual.
