Has anyone seen the new TV series, "Tyrant"? It has to do with terrorism and tyranny and tells it from the perspective of the terrosrist's perspective. It portrays the Muslims speaking English while wearing their hijabs and other Muslim attire. I get the feeling that the show was produced to make the Muslims appear more "American" friendly and suspect its a veiled attempt to introduce their lifestyle to Americans to familiarize them with their culture incrementalism style. It would take an idiot to not understand the implications and intentions therein.
The commercials were enough to make me sick to my stomach, so I don’t and won’t watch it.
Yeah, they’re just poor oppressed people pushed to extremes. yada yada yada.
Low information voters will eat this crap up, no doubt.
The previews sealed any chance I was gonna watch.
What network/channel is showing it?
Then I know what products not to buy...
They play it us as the people are driven to terrorism by a dictator but reality shows that they don’t need a dictator to behave like animals.
If anything, dictators are the only thing that keeps them under any kind of control.
Its on FX.
I’m watching the All Star game.
OK many thanks for the info.
I don’t have cable TV, so I guess I’m not missing much.
Good game or runaway?
the creator of Tyrant is also the creator of Homeland, the HBO hit about a Manchurian candidate politician. Homeland is a remake of an Isreali show ‘Prisoner of War.’
Like Homeland, if you can accept the absurd premises of the creator then it will suck you in. Otherwise, its all hollywood IMO.
Actually a decent game. 5-3 AL in the bottom of the 8th. Too much Jeter jabber.
And there's another one like it by another network called State of Affairs, and yes, another blond...
Thanks ... my apology for asking. Should have looked it up myself. Sometimes I forget I have information at my own fingertips called interwebs ... LOL
I tried it and for me it fails as drama because I don’t care about any of the characters.
It also felt phony because for obvious reasons it cannot deal with the malign, corrosive influence of political Islam in any specific way.
The story is told from the Dictator’s Americanized son who is ashamed and horrified by his family. He reluctantly stays after his father dies to influence his sadistic brother who is now in charge.
I tried watching but can’t take the stupid wife and children side stories. Too trite and annoying. (same as the Homeland fake family that never rings true) Other than that, the series is just average, IMO. btw, poor acting as well.
Uh yeah, what’s next up from this ‘creator’? A show showing heroin use as a healthy lifestyle option?
I, personally, am muzzied out.
FX. The “Fargo” mini-series was absolutely brilliant.
FX = Yet another Fox channel
