ALL STAR BASEBALL AND EAST COAST SNOBBERY; WHERE'S VIN SCULLY? [Vanity]

All right, where's Vin Scully? He's the most iconic baseball announcer in the game's history, but has obviously been snubbed by the East coast liberal establishment.
Where did Scully's career begin? With the Brooklyn Dodgers, but that STILL doesn't buy him a seat with the terrible announcers from back East at THIS All Star game.
This is an outrage!

How dare the producers of the All Star game snub Vin Scully. TEACHERS are more worthy of a SPECIAL TRIBUTE at an All Star baseball game than Vin Scully is? What a joke! We shall not forget.

Its been a better all star game than most in recent history.

I agree. Great game but the announcers really need to shut up for a while. They are very obnoxious.

Yeah I only like Mario and Rod the regular Tigers announcers these days. They can’t hold a candle to Ernie Harwell but they’re familiar.

during the regular season, at least, Vin no longer travels out of the dodgers division. In fact, he doesn’t travel to Denver, which is in the dodgers’ division.

We do okay with the guys the Diamondbacks use. They’re pretty good.

Vin Scully only does home games and road games within the NL West.

The pre-game tribute to TEACHERS was out of place and downright stupid. A tribute to Vin Scully would've been far more appropriate.
The F-16 flyover was awesome and perfectly timed with the woman who sang our National Anthem.
Puig is a disappointment. LOL Jeter is a great bb player but cocky and self-absorbed!

I like that the winner of the All-Star Game also wins the World Serious.
I swear, the only thing that drags out more than The World Cup is the MLB playoffs.

So you’re saying forget all the rich history of Scully and that he wouldn’t show up for this game anyway?
To: Obama_Is_Sabotaging_America
It would have been a great way to honor him. He would have showed.
To: Obama_Is_Sabotaging_America
No, I’m saying that he’s 86, and perhaps he doesn’t travel well, or more than he has to.

I can’t speak for others, but, I think the implication is that Vin is an old man now, and doesn’t travel far from L.A. anymore when he announces.
To: Obama_Is_Sabotaging_America
I tried to watch the home run hitting contest but Chris Berman happened.

Yes. I’m afraid with the season we’re having, a lot of people are going to be gone next year though. Lots of injuries and all of our starters took advantage of the “Tommy John” surgery sale that they had at the beginning of the season in Phoenix.

Wonder if he was asked? Not going to many more years that he will be able to do it.

Cabrera sat out the derby because he said it messed up his swing last year.
