TORONTO -- Ontario’s first elected homosexual premier said earlier this week she will continue to “push” for acceptance of homosexuality in the province’s Catholic schools.
Premier Kathleen Wynne made the comment in a video interview with homosexual news service Daily Xtra on Tuesday, the same day she was sworn in as the 25th premier of Ontario at Queen's Park in Toronto.
On the video, Daily Xtra’s Margaret Webb said to Wynne, “Now we have a premier of a province whose publicly funded [Catholic] school board doesn’t recognize your relationship or your family. How do we move forward on that?”
In reply, Wynne said, “Well, very intentionally.”
Wynne noted there remain “challenges” on the homosexual issue in the Catholic schools. “It’s one of the things that worries me. But it’s also one of the things that we have to accept and we have to push on,” she said.
She praised the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association for deciding, despite criticism from Cardinal Thomas Collins, to march in the WorldPride parade this weekend. “I think it’s very important that teachers see themselves reflected in their organizations and in our curriculum,” she said.
Wynne said during the interview that the education system is the place where building “inclusion” begins. “We have to build this inclusion together. I think that starts with the education system,” she said.
While there is no “inclusion” specific legislation coming forward at this point, said Wynne, all future legislation will be developed through what she called the “lens” of “equity.”

Oh,Marxists like her would be absolutely *thrilled* by the latter.She'd love to see every Catholic school...church...convent...monastery...and charity on earth shut down because the Catholic Church,along with the United States,is the root of all evil and all suffering.

Yup.I'm aware of that.I even gave them $20 a few months ago.I've also heard Mark Steyn (who,I believe,is a Canadian citizen) speak of the huge Canadian legal battle he's engaged in with some Marxist clown who has sued him.
The Catholics brought this on themselves. What people probably do not realize, Catholic schools in Ontario are funded by the government, and Catholics demanded it. It all has to do with Canadian sectarian history. For ever, Quebec, francophone and Catholic, funded Catholic education with taxpayer money. It was a way of sticking it to the anglophone minority. In Protestant Ontario, Catholic schools were not funded by the Protestant majority way back when. But as the Catholic population of Ontario increased with immigration, the Catholic Church wanted the same deal as Quebec. They finally got what they wanted, and here you are. Always remember, he who pays the bills, plays the tune. Anytime you want government involved in religion in anyway, this is what you get. If anyone still want to go this route, then you better hope your candidates win elections not just once, or twice, but every time. Remember, the other guys do win sometimes.
Once you accept the king’s shilling you are his. This was brought on by the Canadian Catholics themselves. I’m Catholic and would have fought tooth and nail to keep the schools from accepting state funding. Stupid move on their part. If they want to survive as Catholic they need to stop their state funding. Support themselves as in the U.S.
They took down Free Dominion? I completely missed that. My head has been buried in sand lately. Lot’s of personal stuff keeping us busy here. That stinks.

Isn’t ironic that they would defend Islam even though if it were the law of the land, (and may be one day) homosexuals would have to run for their lives and that female premier would be toast!
But, by all means lets get after the Catholic’s!
The liberals think they can use Islam as a weapon against Western Civilization (which they both hate intensely) and then control Islam when they no longer need it weaponized.
Ha.
If the liberals get their way, their heads will end up on Islamic pikes.
