Soccer is boring. It's too hard to score. The clock is too hard to follow. The teams opposing the USA are too good. People who follow soccer are libs.

Did I miss anything?

The clock is too hard to follow.
Surely you jest.

The game yesterday summarizes why people in US don’t really care for soccer as an every day sport...

US scores in the first minute... NO ONE scores again for 90 minutes... 2 goals in the last 4 minutes...

Sounds a lot like NASCAR... Watch the last 25 laps...

Yes, I’m jesting. I have seen the argument, though.

Thanks for the update. I’m ‘soccer widow’ atm...so I have to watch. ;)

First of all, you don’t speak for me. Secondly, if the rules were changed (NFL-like) to make the typical score 35-24, you wouldn’t watch anyway. Just admit it.

Only Day 6? I could swear I watched a game that was at least a week long.

If you complain about low scoring in soccer, let me ask you this? What if in American football a touchdown was only worth a point?

Anyone can tell that the last dive was a 10.

I simply made a comment and certainly wasn’t speaking to YOU in particular... I have no issues with soccer and enjoy an event like the world cup...

I was commenting solely on an opinion as to why it may not be mainstream...

Lighten up Francis...

I give Neymar a 7-and-a-half on that one.

I’m unconcerned about the score or lack thereof and comparing American football to soccer is simply silly....

On ANY play in American Football, either side can score...

It’s just not the same... My comment was more towards the drought in scoring in that 90 minutes...

You made the comment that the “game yesterday summarizes why people in US don’t really care for soccer as an every day sport....” I don’t need to lighten up, I just needed to correct you.

When you observe that there was a drought in scoring, you imply that the scoring wasn’t high enough. The comparison to the NFL is apt because the NFL has constantly changed its rules in order to make it easier to score. It sells more Cialis that way . . . .

Soccer is landscaping with cleats......and a pretty ball. Oh, look! A dandelion.

Nothing prettier than a baseball diamond, imo. And you can watch the grass grow on them, also.

And Thank You for correcting me... I’m sure you can get on with your day now...

The fact remains (people... as opposed to every person) couldn’t give a rat’s a$$ about soccer under normal conditions were it not for the world cup...

Post some MLS scores and start a discussion thread after the world cup is over... We’ll see how many people “care” about soccer as an every day sport...
