I’m sure I was risking some damage to my car by running so close to empty. I’m just happy nothing happened that day.
Vehicle will normally just stop running if out of fuel. Overfilled is more of a risk. Some vehicles, however, do run the risk of an overheated fuel pump if run very low on fuel.
