Downtown anywhere on a Saturday night is a bad idea for white people, especially a family with young children. There was a time when I had no qualms about being downtown at night. Not anymore. This is apparently video from the incident. Can't really tell much from it, other than it looks like both groups were verbally sparring for a bit before things escalated. Savannah used to be an interesting place to visit, but it looks like another name to add to the ever-lengthening list of places to avoid in the U.S.

Wow! We spent a week in the Savannah area in March of last year. I had no idea that there were mobs like this there. Everyone we met — black or white — was just so dang nice.
