In a celebration of its sensitivity on Monday, the Defense Department unveiled a revised document celebrating the departments diversity and culture of inclusion.
Im proud that the language of the charter has been updated to reflect the contributions of gay and lesbian military personnel, who now serve openly and proudly across Americas armed forces, Defense Department Secretary Chuck Hagel said as he and the nations top military leaders signed the document at a public ceremony.
The 2014 Human Goals charter says the Defense Department must show respect for Service members, civilian employees, and family members, recognizing their individual needs, aspirations and capabilities. It lists 10 ways to make that happen, using phrases such as equal opportunity, mutual respect, and the improvement of our society.

How far we have fallen.
Into a barrel of you know what.
Like celebrating the tranny fudgepacker who stole government files and leaked them to hurt the war effort?
The downhill descent is accelerating.
It’s Satan’s design to legalize very aspect of human nature. We know this due to the very motives, intentions, and consquences of the purveyors who promote it for profit or use it to control or direct the sheep.
Remember that phrase of Obama’s preacher for 20 years. He didn’t say God bless America. He had other goals in mind.
I have gone from “gay is gross and a violation of God’s word” to “gay is gross and a violation of God’s word, and gays are dangerously interested in controlling the lives of people who just don’t want to hear about their sex lives”. I am a whole lot less accommodating even of those few gays who don’t flood everyone they meet with too much information, because I see all of them as a high risk for filing frivolous lawsuits. I absolutely don’t want our military to concern itself with the sex lives of our service members, especially if that leads to more frivolous gay lawsuits and more frivolous gay grievances.
It used to be that respect was earned.
Unfortunately, I suspect it will take a really big military fiasco, involve thousands of casualties, before this nonsense is put aside. Even then, it will be a real toss-up as our leaders have probably lost the ability to draw the right conclusions or do what makes sense.
Oh, you must mean the newly minted chelsea manning who used to be bradly manning. New defense, bradley did it not chelsea. Viola. Not guilty.
I once dated a goat. Does that count? Can I be honored?
Fortunately, our relationship remained platonic. I only stared...

Think “Fall of Rome”.
Now they’ll name you a Rear Admiral.
Navy losing sailors and SEALs over emphasis on social issues

the military is now just a EEOC jobs program
I don’t think it will be the “fall of Rome”, just some massacre somewhere. A very visible defeat that even the MSM can’t spin away.
The problem is that our leaders will still cling to PC BS regardless. Kind of like after the financial crisis, where they still wanted lenders to lend to people in the subprime market. The necessity of not being racist, sexist, or homophobic will trump all.
Have we lost common sense?
The military is different from civilian life.
I heard recently there will be a push for open transgenders in the military.
Unclear if these are pre op or post op, but, could that be a back door way to get the military to pay for sex change operations?
But can’t we say that, a man who thinks he’s a woman trapped in the wrong body, etc, perhaps a person such as that should not be in a war zone???
Or do we have to bend over backwards to prove how liberal we are??
Apparently the direction they prefer for bending over is forwards rather than backwards.
