I don’t like what is apparently the Navy’s new slogan: “A Global Force For Good.” The Navy, as with all of the other military services, ought to be a global force for the defense of the United States of America, not social workers to the world.

"...A Global Force For Good..."

As someone who served in the Navy, that made me want to throw my hat on the ground.

But they aren't stopping there, and not just with the Navy. The USMC is in on it with their "Toward the Sounds of Chaos" commercial. The USMC, for God's sake.

I fully expected it from the Navy after what I have seen in recent years. I didn't expect that from the Marines.

Don't get me wrong. Our military has always assisted people around the world when they can, and that has never been anything to be ashamed of. One can and should have the discussion on whether it is fiscally responsible or mission creep or anything else, but our military does benefit from these things in addition to benefiting others in dire need.

But to make that the primary mission instead of the destruction of those who mean us harm is disturbing and deeply disconcerting to me.

Totally agree...
It’s like the stupid “Army of One” campaign.
I honestly think, over the last decade or two, the senior brass have completely lost their collective minds, gone over to the dark side and sold our military down the river.....
