SOUTH BEND , Ind., April 7 (UPI) -- Notre Dame student Brian McCurren probably would have been better off ordering pizza. McCurren was arrested for burglary, vandalism and minor consumption after he allegedly broke into a South Bend spa so he could eat Hot Pockets, Drumsticks and macaroni and cheese while intoxicated.
McCurren used a flower pot to break a stained glass window at Therapeutic Indulgence and reportedly inflicted thousands of dollars worth of damage to the business.
"Then he grabbed a hammer and pounded his way through a wall to get inside," Therapeutic Indulgence owner Sara Ros Frazier told NewsCenter 16. "It's just so senseless."
The 19-year-old then allegedly broke lamps, mirrors and furniture, and sprayed a fire extinguisher throughout the building’s interior before hitting up the kitchen.
"He just went straight into the kitchen and he went through half a box of Hot Pockets," she said. "Macaroni and cheese was warming up in an antique style oven and then passed out eating Drumsticks on a table where the police found him."
South Bend Police took McCurren out of the spa in handcuffs.
"What really burned me the most was he wasn't apologetic when he came down the stairs," Frazier said. "You would think, even if you were that out of it when you come down, you're coming down in cuffs... but he just had a smile on his face."

One of my college roommates broke into the dorm cafeteria to steal a few boxes of pop tarts late one night. He was caught. It was also an alcohol related incident.
I have never eaten a hot pocket or a pop tart. They remind me too much of Soylent Green.

What an idiot! Young people have been doing some dumb and rebellious stuff for a long, long time, but, as I was watching footage of that riot in CA over the weekend, I found myself baffled once again by the current trend of destructiveness among college-aged people. These are not stupid 14- and 15-year olds.
Sure, there have always been some hooligans, but this widespread vandalism, such as after a basketball game, has just been happening over the last 15 years or so, it seems to me. What is causing this kind of attitude?
