Hah no. Just no.
Honestly, I wish I could be a vegetarian. I wish we could all be vegetarians. I have had a lot of friends who are cows and a good friend who is of the sheep persuasion. (Named Agnes, of course.)
But we can’t be vegetarians. It won’t work. People, especially men, need protein and it’s too hard to get enough protein from plant materials, especially if, like me, you’re trying not to be diabetic.
I’m sorry that animals taste so good. I’ve tried giving them up, but after a short time my body simply craves butterfat, meat, and poultry. We need this. Perhaps after Christ comes these desires will go away and the lion can indeed lie down with the lamb.
This is just more of the ivory-tower intelligentsia trying to tell the rest of us to give up our guns and our steak knives because they know it’s better for us to live a quiet, submissive, bloodless life like geldings, without the protein in our bodies to fight back against oppression by our masters. If that’s not the case, tell me how I’m wrong.
NYT and the libs really want to stick it to the heartland,,,they HATE the farmers and the dairies!
