Every Catholic I know out here goes to confession-in the city, maybe one in 3 or 4 did. So it makes no sense that the nearest churches that offer confession are 25 and 28 miles away, and the two closest ones-less than 15 miles-do not. I go to the one 28 miles away-it is small, dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, has a very nice priest, and we used to drive from the city to attend mass there before we moved here. But it would be nice if I could drive 12 miles to my parish church to confession, instead.
I think that's Motel 6.
I contacted my local church searching out resources for a friend once. They planned to charge the family, bring in a counselor once a week from the big city. RME No local help, and they want to make money for it? I wasn’t impressed.
Cheers.
Made lunch so much better.
