From Putin's op-ed on Syria, in the NY Times, September 11, 2013
" We need to use the United Nations Security Council and believe that preserving law and order in todays complex and turbulent world is one of the few ways to keep international relations from sliding into chaos. The law is still the law, and we must follow it whether we like it or not. Under current international law, force is permitted only in self-defense or by the decision of the Security Council. Anything else is unacceptable under the United Nations Charter and would constitute an act of aggression."

“We must stop using the language of force and return to the path of civilized diplomatic and political settlement”
Apparently, his actions in Crimea are just “civilized diplomatic and political settlement”

Easily batted away. Those troops and tanks are there in case anyone tries to violate the law.

Pot Kettle Black.
The New York Times (Communists and Tyrants all)
are disturbed that the Law is not the Law.
Their Master, Obama-the-Undocumented , has proven
there is no more “law”. Their dogma has
been run over by their karma.

Sorry if this thread gave the impression that the NY Times has declared Putin a hypocrite. They haven’t.
I did, by using the NY Times op ed from last Fall.

Something tells me that Putin really doesn't care if he was hypocritical or not. A Fascist will do what a Fascist will do.

Let's see. The Ukrainians overthrow a legally elected president. Would that be ok with the NY Times if we did that?

Again, I side with Putin on any matter related to his defying obama or pissing off obama’s lackey press. The enemy of my enemy is my friend in other words.

The NYT lashes out against hypocrisy! When did they join The Tea Party? Homosexual rights. Now that Russia is affirming faith, albeit one the will persecute evangelicals, and opposing homosexuality, then the NYT and other libs attack the country who formerly found them useful.

The nyt’s nose is outta joint, huh? All I can tell ‘em is that one man’s hypocrisy is another man’s statecraft.
Kinda like bammy. He doesn’t lie, exactly. He is just being convincing.
