The first time I read the headline, I thought the money was going straight to Planned Parenthood. It is not.

Basically, it is like giving money to Susan Komen or frankly, half the corporations (Home Depot, Procter and Gamble, Aetna) in the Fortune 500.

I don’t like it, but the end result will likely be that PP gets a few hundred thousand more. Which is bad, but not nearly as bad as the nearly $1 billion a cursory reading of the headline implies.

I cannot boycott facebook because I have never enrolled.

Komen is the worst people to give money to. Abortion can cause breast cancer and we have known this for a long time. The bulk of Planned Parenthood is abortion. More than that if I give my money to one organization I don’t expect them in turn to turn around and give it to another. I expect it to stay where I gave it. So if I give it to fight breast cancer that money should be going to people who are only finding ways to fight and finding ways to cure breast cancer. Nothing more nothing less.

Is that too much to ask?
