A gun pointed at his gut, the off-duty sheriff's sergeant digs through his pockets with his left hand, fumbling for money, as the three robbers surround him at the Far South Side gas station.
The sergeant is surer with his right hand, quickly drawing his own gun and firing point-blank. The gunman, 16, drops at his feet as the two others scatter, according to surveillance video that captured the robbery Monday night at a Citgo station at 103rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue, across the street from Gately Stadium.
The sergeant swings around at the fleeing robbers, then points the gun down as the gunman struggles to get up. The video shows the sergeant kicking away the robber's gun and then opening the passenger door of his own car, apparently to get his phone.

If the off duty officer is white and the 16 year old kid was black, we will have...to one degree or another...another Trayvon Martin outcry about a mean “whitey,” gunning down a poor black kid that the “white society,” caused to act this way.
If they are both black or both white, we will not hear that type of story.
The truth of the matter is, it is the leftists/libs/dems/progressives that have purposefully put entire segments of our population, particularly minorities, in a permanent under-class position so they can shower freebies, welfare, goodies, obama phones...you name it...on them in order to buy their vote while holding them in the damnable financial slavery that they have “pied piped” them into.
As it is, good for this off-duty Sergeant. he did what he had to do to protect his life and proprty, and a thug kid will now never rob and threaten anyone else.

We’ve had it and this 16 year old kids fate was sealed 16 years and nine months earlier by two craven black people who should not have even been able to insemminate! Since u bastards love regulating EVERYTHING, regulate that!!!!

Since this took place in Chicago I suspect the policeman will be fired. The Chicago Way does not allow for self defense
And the point is that 98% or more of us on this forum didn't even think about the race of either the perps or the sarge when we read this article.
We're just glad that one more honest citizen is still alive and one less perp is stalking society's streets, regardless of their race.
Two things pissed me off about the video, though.
1) my video had the ‘meat’ of the action obscured by a blurring window that hid the race/color of the perpetrators as well as the LEO. Later on, you could tell the LEO appears white. The feral little punk got exactly what he deserved. The other two showed exactly what they were - roaches fleeing the light.
2) This video was preceded by a lying POS advertisement for John Cornyn for Texas Senator about how he's rated A from NRA and totally for 2A rights. I have to clean my keyboard now. Just damn!
Look for the mother to start making the rounds on liberal talk shows.
It’s a good thing he was a cop. A common citizen doesn’t have the right to defend himself there.
Little punk used his Glock like a pointer telling the ‘victim’ what to do. That was his major mistake. He was too confident in the helplessness of the victim.
It cost him (deservedly so) his worthless, pointless angry entitlement life.
When you are staring down the barrel of a gun...you do not care what race the person holding the gun is. You care about surviving the incident, and hopefully stopping the perpetrator in the process.
This sergeant did that. God bless him for it.
We have internal enemies however, who have, over decades, carefully engineered this situation for their own ideological and political benefit. They will make an issue of the race if they can.
IMHO, the initial and predominant fault and blam falls to this perpetrator himself, who chose to threaten and perhaps take innocent life in order to steal. After that, I very quickly go to these sick power-mongers who have knowingly engineered such a situation that is putting all Americans at risk, for their own gain.
In a sain and just world...sooner or later...such people would adorn lamp posts.
Which is a very good reason why you will not see me there for the rest of my life.
