Recently His Royal Highness committed a major faux pas by injecting himself into the political debate, and he has been called out by the one man with the intellectual AND social standing to do so. And a major plus is that he has the wit to perform this necessary task with devastating effectiveness. As many readers may have already guessed, that man is Christopher Monckton, also known more formally as Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, a man in possession of his own herald of high nobility.

Yes, I really enjoyed the letter from Lord Monckton:
Monckton: Challenge to Prince Charles (Over Global Warming Debate)

Posted from “Watts Up With That” as mentioned in the American Thinker article.
I remember Diana, Princess of Wales, (stuff it “royal family”) told Chuckie to quit talking to plants or “people would think he was barking...” lol!
Lord Monckton has been a champion for the Tea Party, he is a science adviser to the Queen, he has a low opinion of Prince Charles’s ability to govern England effectively.
PC’s actions on this simply reinforce that judgement. Many have speculated that eventually the Queen will decide he is unfit for the job and possible let his son assume the office.
Option 1: give up any claim to the throne.
Option 2: a 2-hour debate to be televised internationally.
I bet option 2 would be much better and more interesting than the faux debate between Kerry and Gingrich on the subject of climate change/global warming/global cooling.

I bet Her Majesty cringes every time the Prince opens his mouth in public.
Any Freeper out there know for certain? I'm no expert. I'm just following a wiki line of succession webpage.
But yeah, Charles is about as fit for the job as Joe Biden.
That was an epic smackdown, wasn't it? Definitely one for the books.
The question now is, will Charles respond in kind? I personally don't think he's got the brain cells to manage an equally devastating reply, and he'd be crushed by Lord Monckton in a public debate, so what to do?
However Charles responds, you just know he'll make a mess of it.
I don’t know the answer to that.
But there have been times in English history (not recent) when the underlings dealt with a worthless King. I will not go into that.
Prince Charles is a really bad choice for the job under any circumstance.
“Charles is about as fit for the job as Joe Biden.”
Great comparison!
Cameron believes in GW - no help there.
Thanks. I have little interest in the institution of Kings/Queens, so I have not studied what they practice.
I REALLY like Lord Monckton. Especially like seeing him in Texas around the Tea Party element wearing a Western Hat. He is a likeable fellow.
Oh, Man, I love this. Always thought Lord Viscount Monckton was one of the great voices of sanity in the Gorebal Warming debate, but this communication to Prince Chuckles is worthy of Mark Steyn.
How will Charles respond? “OFF WITH HIS HEAD!”
Years ago I read that Queen Elizabeth had decided to refuse to retire, until such time that Charles agreed to renounce the thrown. Apparently she doesn’t think much of her son’s intelligence either.
He’s an idiot when it comes to Global Warming and he should immediately drop that nonsense, but it’s my understanding that Prince Charles is otherwise a conservative.
Inbreeding - Just say ‘No’.
The line of succession goes from the Prince of Wales (Charles) to his son Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge to his son Prince George of Cambridge. Prince Andrew drops a notch every time that one of Prince Charles’ son fathers a child.
