A sophisticated Manhattan-based prostitution ring that offered "one-stop shopping" and delivered both drugs and debauchery was sacked just days before the Super Bowl.
"Always a treat and always fast to your door," Asian Wave Escorts promised in sexy come-ons broadcast on public access TV, sources said.
The ring was headed by a middle-aged madam named Hyun Ok Yoonung, a 41-year-old Korean immigrant who officials said is something of a legend in the flesh-peddling business.
"She was really the leader," Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said Thursday. "This is someone we've heard of from other criminals, really sort of admiring the scope of her enterprise. She's well known in this industry."
Code-named "Beige," the madam was arrested at her Long Island home while police were rounding up the 17 other alleged members of the ring in overnight raids.
We have identified in the last year more than $3 million in credit card charges related to this enterprise," Schneiderman said. "Keep in mind that most johns pay cash, so that is a staggering number for an enterprise like this.
In recent weeks, Schneiderman said, Hyun Ok Yoonung had been ramping-up to tap the wallets of high rollers bound for Sunday's big game.

They had a huge increase in their text messages to people coming in from out of town, saying, 'We've updated our girls, new and sexy girls for you, said Schneiderman. It was a very aggressive push.
Several of the alleged hookers were nabbed when police used battering rams to burst into an apartment at 990 Sixth Ave. that is just blocks away from "Super Bowl Boulevard."
The women, who also were mostly from Korea, serviced their johns in the single bedroom, where cocaine, crack pipes and Viagra was found, officials said.
A one-stop shopping drug and prostitution ring, Police Commissioner William Bratton called it.
So she was sacked for sacking the men who were in NY to watch the sackings at the game.
While I certainly do not condone what these people are doing, I am wondering if the cops shouldn’t spend more time catching murderers, kidnappers, baby rapers and knock out gamers?
I agree. I wonder if any prostitution rings operate under the protection of crooked NYPD cops.
Backfield in motion.
How is that not racist?
Lucky Luciano was convicted of pimping and prostitution in NYC back in the day, the story being it was all they could get him on and the NYPD knew (some claim were on the take) about it as well.
Every time one of these pimp mamas is busted, we always hear about the client list... but it’s never divulged.
Up, up, up and away!
Apparently the NFL expects the local authorities to crack down on this sort of thing before the big game...I’m surprised.
And his partner, Ho Lee Fuk.
I don’t think the NFL cares at all. But the anti-sex trafficking crowd has been rabble rousing the last week or so about all the evil that happens around a Super Bowl. This shuts them up.
Perhaps if a Republican , then it's okay to release names, but, yeah, for the most part, that info doesn't seem make it to the press.
Human trafficking, particularly sex trafficking, is in the same league as kidnapping and rape. Everyone thinks that sex slavery happens over in Thailand, but it happens here in the US, too. This madam is one of the modern-day slavers.
*sssshhhhhhh*
You’re supposed to think it’s okay because they’re Asian.

Democratic War on Women.
Because slavery was worth fighting a war to end in the 1860s, and its still a bad idea.
Then there is the spread of disease.
The destructive nature to the prostitutes children and the damage of a largely guaranteed one parent upbringing coming from this.
Chances are really good that a large portion of the prostitutes in an operation this large are under age. They are easier to control, a lot of johns want youthful prostitutes, and there are not enough adults willing to become prostitutes to meet the demand.
As this was a Korean madam, likely many of the prostitutes came here from asia expecting to work in restaurants or hotels and found their passports taken and themselves forced into this.
This is every bit as worthy of law enforcement attention as the things you mentioned.
From Wikipedia:
On the day before Super Bowl XXXIII, he was awarded the Bart Starr Award from the Christian group Athletes in Action for his "high moral character".
However, that very same night, he broke curfew and was arrested by an undercover female police officer posing as a prostitute - when he offered her $40 for oral sex - while his wife was asleep at their hotel.
D'oh!
