Wouldn’t they have had to hire some journalist before laying 40 off? ;-)

My wife got laid off when she was 7 months pregnant with our second child about 7 years ago. Needless to say, it was a stressful 6 months, but we look back on it now and know it was a blessing in disguise. She was able to spend time with the baby, and she eventually found a job that was just 3 miles from our home.
And from what I read, this guy is slowly changing CNN into something completely different. They might not even do news anymore.

They’ll all be employed by the Obama machine by the end of next week.

I think it’s way to late to terminate.......oh, you mean her employment. “WWWD?” What Would Wendy Do? (as in wendy davis) So, let’s suppose wendy doesn’t make it to the governors mansion. Will she get a job hawking catheters?

The government and corporations write their news. They don’t need them.

Perfect!
Since I don’t watch CNN I won’t miss them. I stopped when they were known as the Clinton News Network. Maybe after their reorganization, they will now be known as ONN.
A journalist is having a baby? And she thought she was ‘safe’?
To: rktman
The cutting of production and editorial staff at the Time Warner-owned group comes as Mr Zucker tries to re-establish CNN as the dominant force in 24 hour cable news, a crown it lost several years ago to Fox News Channel. Typical bean-counter mentality. Laying people off to improve quality and market share. Right.
