These photographers wouldn’t have an axe to grind (cough! homosexual agenda...cough!) would they?
I don’t see what is so wrong with the photos.
Disappointment...
I misread this and thought it was “strippers WITH Kalashnikovs”
Now I’m bummed...
Oh please. This is all bias. The Olympics are coming to Rio. Take photos in Rio for 5 years of the worst areas and no one would ever go there. The DailyMail is publishing these on behalf of homosexual activists who want to damage Russia.
Ever since Russia announced their policy on homosexuals...seems a lot of folks have gone really anti-Russia and anti-Putin...even some of the posters on FR. The pro-Heterosexual Russian policy has put a lot of undergarments in a wad
>> I dont see what is so wrong with the photos. <<
I do think there is a chance of terrorism at the Olympic events, but that’s a risk at any large gathering of people in this day and age.
“children holding Kalashnikovs”
This is obviously awful. They could, you know, shoot something sitting there on their Granddad’s couch. /s
Don’t really see what is wrong with those photos.
And why do Russians like hanging rugs on their walls???

So true. A Rio favela would make some of these Russian areas look like the Hamptons or Palm Beach
Occasional wet floors due to condensation, flooding? Just guessing.
Exactly what I was thinking. In fact these pics seem pretty mild compared to the shantytowns of Brazil.
Found everywhere.
and children holding Kalashnikovs
That's slightly unusual, but cool. My kids would love to have Kalashnikovs.
Say area is plagued with various problems
Name an area of the world that isn't.
and that 'There's a big chance terrorists will try to disrupt these Games
Yes, there is. There would be no matter where the games were held.
To me, the only really effective criticism is that the place doesn't have snow. If it's true, and it disrupts the events, then that's a pretty serious problem.
Insulation perhaps. That's one reason in the Middle Ages tapestries were hung over cold rock walls in castles.
Hell, there are places in D.C. that would make this look like the Saudi Royal Palace.
And why do Russians like hanging rugs on their walls???
Extra insulation to make up for thin walls?
OF COURSE NOT, HOW DARE YOU IMPLY SUCH A THING!!
Kalashnikov in Russia = Red Ryder Lever Action Air Rifle with a compas in the stock.
What every boy expects for his 8th birthday ...
Mentioning anything anti-gay in public will bring the wrath of the tolerant. So much for free speech. Russia is just the latest that dare speak against it but the results are the same.
