Nice stuff. I’d take it, if somebody volunteered to pay the rent. Just needs a bit of dusting and tidying up.

I was looking at the book trolly or case or whatever in one of the pics down the page.
It seems that Ikea was popular among the rich and famous in Paris in the ‘40s.

Tottally gorgeous. Love the French style with the carved garland of flowers, to die for.
I saw this quite awhile ago. It's worth looking at again. You'd think there'd be more dust although maybe some concierge kept it dusted.

After 72 years, I am surprised there is not more dust.

I thought Laz had a standing order.

Even though she kept the rent paid it’s still amazing that no one had the cause or just the curiosity to enter the apartment.

Incredible...there is a fortune in history there, not to mention “antiques”...I hope it will be properly preserved/archived/”recycled”!!

Although the owner payed the rent until 2010, she never returned. The question is “why”?

What an amazing find. I would like to know more about the lady who left this behind. There must be an interesting story there.

The first comment at the site put what I thought. I bet that stuffed Mickey Mouse is worth a pretty penny. 2.1 million Euros for her portrait. Nice... Does France have a death tax? Wonder if her estate had to sell it to pay that.

Hardly “incredible.”
A cell phone or HD TV would be incredible.
To: Sasparilla
I’m rather taken with her having a Mickey Mouse in there!
