And the prophet Jeremiah tells us it will not be remembered or called to mind.

At least the ancients didn’t know about Area 51.

It is 7 miles east of Jerusalem. That is, it is in your inspiration and your intuition. The story is an allegory of internal spiritual things. East is the direction of spirutal enlightement and 7 is the number for illumination and inspiration. Jerusalem is your receptive spiritual center.

I always thought the “Ark of the Covenant” was in Heaven.
Maybe this is after the fact ... I’m not sure ... still learning.

Revelation 11:19
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Can’t say I see any significance to the ARK, except as an artifact, same as the Tabernacle of Moses.

ALL those things were SHADOWS (types?) of Heavenly things in and pertaining to the Heavenly Temple.

ALL of those things were constructed of EARTHLY materials, assembled by MAN’S hands. With the rending of the veil of the Herodian temple upon the death of Jesus, they, like the Temple and priestly sacrifices, were rendered of no more effect.

Ergo, the Ark, if any of it even remains, is ever found, it is just an interesting artifact. Personally, I believe that it has long since been utterly destroyed, lest, like the brazen snake of Moses, it become an object of worship and a snare.

The Ark to be revealed at the coming of Messiah will be the Heavenly Ark that was the pattern. John even tells us he saw it in the Heavenly Temple when he was called to Heaven in the spirit.

Rev 11:19

19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
KJV

Everybody knows the Ark is in a plain wooden box in a giant government warehouse somewhere on the outskirts of Washington.
