This is a week old, but I hadn't seen this before. It's an interesting view from a gay man. GLAAD has way over stepped their bounds.
I hope GLAAD takes this slap-down for what it is: serious push-back.
Yes, and it comes from one of their own....
Here’s the link.
Not yet stepped over. That’ll be new years day with the gay wedding on a float in the Rose Parade. Hopefully people will tune out in droves.
Tolerance is good but money is better.
GLAAD will make a lot of money from the hullabaloo producing PSAs. they got a lot of free promotion and they’ll get more promotion from the PSAs.
I’d estimate they’re ahead by tens of millions.
This reminds me of the Pink Pistols, a gay, pro-gun group. They were interviewed in the NRA magazine a while ago, and in that interview said that they faced far more criticism from liberals for being gun proponents than they ever received from conservatives for being gay. Apparently there’s only one direction to ‘tolerance’ and ‘embracing differences between cultures’ (let alone ‘celebrating’ these differences).
If A&E does, they will still lose millions of viewers
GLAAD takes one up the whazoo.
That's exactly where everyone fails to understand the nature of the gay rights movement; there are no "bounds" there are no limits, there is no end.
They ask for decriminalization of their behavior; they get it-it's not enough. They demand tolerance; they get it-it's not enough. They order us to award them equal status; they get partnership rights-it's not enough. They agitate for gay "marriage"; they get it-you'll never guess! It's not enough.
In the darkest bowels of academia there are echoes of the rumbling of something that's beginning to sound like calls for the normalization of pedophilia. The day is coming when, under penalty of law, we will deliver our children to their front door; experience tells me that somehow, that will not be enough.
Invariably, the louder one demands tolerance, the more intolerant they are of any opinion except their own.
There are actually some out there who respect Constitutional and private rights
That's because the whole "tolerance" thing is a ruse, a false front. If they ever actually take over, tolerance will instantly end, and an iron-fisted thought control dictatorship will take over.
The homosexual community will be sent to the killing fields within a very short time; a few weeks at most. As they were by Hitler, starting with the "Night of the Long Knives."
The useful idiot's lot is not a happy one once their master's goals are achieved. They rapidly discover that the new regime doesn't need useful idiots any more than the old one did, but while the old regime tolerated them, he new one sweeps them away without so much as a second thought.
Once in power, the useful idiots are no more useful than the wrapper on a piece of candy, and their fate is the same.
As the Liberal Left says: Free speech for me but none for thee.
What few understand...Duck Dynasty and it’s profits....are allowing growth and income for future massive projects. If the current trend continues...A & E could buy CNN entirely (although not likely). They could establish a ownership deal over CBS within five years. Network TV is in trouble....while cable networks are re-inventing the whole trail ahead.
If I were the CEO or board over A & E....I’d take special care of Phil and the gang. There are thousands of empires to conquer over the next decade....all due to the success of this silly show (and the Amish Mafia crowd).
If I’m not mistaken, A&E is owned by Disney/ABC
No way. It’s a temporay setback for them at worst. A fundraising opportunity at minimum.
Rust Never Sleeps.
2ndDivisionVet posted this earlier, and I could agree more.
“Times they are a changing”
It seems as though what goes around is coming around.
Whoa! Harvey is gay?
