Judge Robert J. Shelby, whom President Barack Obama appointed to the U.S. District Court in Utah last year, issued an opinion on Friday declaring that a right to same-sex marriage is "deeply rooted in the nations history and implicit in the concept of ordered liberty."

Uh, excuse me your "lyin' king" appointed judgeship. You might want to choose different terminology when talking about gay marriage. Somehow using "deeply" and "rooted" are a little uh, off-putting.

Marriage between a man and woman is deeply rooted in history...in fact, it is what has saved societies...it is the very fabric that has kept this country great and strong. Redefine it...pervert it...and society will soon crumble.
To: rktman
Actually that would be laws against sodomy that were deeply rooted in our nation’s history.

time to purge law schools.
1. shut down the diploma mills.
2. prohibit far left only professors.
3. end tenure.
4. end bankruptcy immunity for law school loans. (if a graduate files bankruptcy, make the law school pay the bill)

"Deeply Rooted " would be appropriate only in Australian jargon
Not here in the States !

"deeply rooted in the nations history and implicit in the concept of ordered liberty." I would like to see him prove that.

Another liberal prog jackass who thinks he is up on American history. Activist “judges” suck.

Possibly you have stumbled onto something and it’s time to rewrite the history books. The founders left europe to escape discrimination/persecution due to homo-itis? There, now we’re “deeply rooted” in historical fact. LOL!

I don’t see a “right” to marry the same sex listed anywhere in the US Constitution.

Marriage between two individuals of the same sex is not deeply rooted in either our or any other society, in fact it flies directly in the face of the very definition of the term marriage.
I challenge the judge to prove any such claim.

HUH? It’s not right next to the “right” to an abortion? Dang. I’ll have to read it again.

His judgeship doesn’t have too. He was appointed by the “lyin’ king”.

Using the judge’s logic, you have an existing right to marry a ‘57 Chevy.
To: rktman
Marriage isn’t mentioned in the constitution but falls under religious freedoms.

As I stated on another thread: This judge needs to be given a pee test. A person would have to be on drugs to come up with that kind of logic.

The judge seems to live in an alternate reality, with an alternate history, and is clearly unfit for his position. Either that or he’s yet another damned pervert pushing his depraved agenda, who’s a disgrace to the free American air he breathes.
Scum like this judge has done far more damage to the country than al-Qaeda could have ever conceived.
