Apple is just trying to keep it from the US market. Typical Apple.

This has always been Apples mode of dealing with competitors, bleed them dry in the courts or beat them into submission with attorneys. Jobs was a very spiteful person.

Totally different screens, totally different patents. The curved screen on the yoga phone is the eEnk screen on the back of the phone. Your assumption of motive is wrong too. Apple was AWARDED the patent, which means they applied for it years ago. . . when they invented it. . . not as a response to Yotaphone's December 2013 announcement.

In fact, cable guy, Apple was awarded the patent for the technique on MAKING the curved touch screens. They invented it. It’s probably the one being used by Samsung and others including Yotaphone under license to MAKE their curved screens, since the technique looks pretty straight forward. Contrary to your misinformation, that IS what Apple does. They develop and license manufacturing techniques. They don’t necessarily use everything they develop for their own products. There is a licensing division.Apple did show the judge in the Samsung patent infringement trial some prototype iPhones with curved screens. . . so the technique was developed some time back.
