However, suicide is a stupid and selfish choice. This kid made the choice. I’m sick of others getting blamed for suicides.

I’m thinking that if the cops had made the scene, then the family dog would have been shot and the boy would only have offed himself later, so...

If they didn't shoot the boy themselves. That has happened several times when a family member called to cops to prevent a suicide.
