Quinn and Rose, the Morning Show HAVE VANISHED INTO THIN AIR.
The show was replaced this morning with sportz talk.
The 104.7 web page has been scrubbed.
Reports from a wiki source say the affiliates were notified 10 minutes before air time this morning that the two had been fired.
Did they criticize Obamacare?
Who knows. On a Friday afternoon here in Atlanta, WGST 640 Talk went Mexican Sports Talk and Etc. No notice, no transition, no nothing. Lasted a few months and now it is back to American talk, but I changed all my presets and would never listen to them again.
Official Q&R thread on FR says their Rochester, NY affiliate announced they were fired 10 minutes before this morning’s show was to begin.

Don’t know what’s going on, but this is likely a better place to find out when the answer is found.
Just called the flagship station and the girl said that they apparently were in contract negotiations with THE STATION (not clear channel) and negotiations “fell apart” over the weekend.
Stinks out loud.
This is big.
I smell Premiere. Lots of flux is ongoing within the radio syndication biz at this time. There will be more changes. Popular shows with ratings will show up somewhere else on the dial.
Tried the link. Says the document has been pulled from the server. Hmmmmm.
This isn’t the first time Clear Channel has pulled this ‘contract negotiations’ crap. Same thing happened to a popular morning show duo in Spokane...said they were “negotiating”, then their presence was scrubbed from the station’s website.
This stinks on ice.
If so, they should have their own syndication deals and be able to broadcast from an undisclosed, remote location.
Grr, my fault, here’s a working link:

Wish I could believe that, but business-wise this is not a golden age for the radio biz.
An AM station here in Pittsburgh recently sold for the price of a gently used sedan. Small stations needing more than a couple thousand dollars worth of repairs are just turning in their licenses cause it’s not worth the investment. Rush’s Philly affiliate went with syndicated Christian Music cause they couldn’t make a go of it even with Limbaugh.
If Q&R go to Premiere I’d have to think long and hard about where they might turn-up on my local radio dial.
Maybe a little Congressional research will reveal pressure from the FCC and IRS and all the other TLA agencies?
Thank you. This really stinks.
Who?
I don’t know if they have the rights to it. I THINK they are syndicated, but not sure.
I know one thing, they both were not bashful or shy about naming names and pointing fingers.
Over the years, they have piled up BIG, BIG enemies who have tried every trick in the book to SHUT THEM UP.
This is really bad news.
A very conservative talk show here in Pittsburgh. The show was on a goodly number of affiliates nationwide.
Rose subs for Hannity from time to time.
Let's hope that Hannity gives us some information on this situation, especially if the FCC is behind it.

>>A couple of big Monday-morning breaking stories out of western PA: at Pittsburgh’s WPGB 104.7 (and several affiliates around the region), a contract dispute has pulled the long-running Quinn and Rose morning show off the air.
