“And if the home invaders yell police! as they break in,
you have very little time to decide.
If they are police and you defend your home, you WILL DIE.
If they arent police and you dont defend your home, you WILL DIE.”....
Definitely something to think about before you shoot. That has crossed my mind several times, particularly when I read about the cops crashing in the wrong house.
I almost choked on my coffee thinking about that possibility. Damn.
What will happen if the police have the wrong address and/or wrong name on the warrant? If they kick your door in and you defend yourself and kill/wound them, are you guilty of anything if they are wrong?
I know that as of now I have NOTHING illegal in my house, so if they are screaming “POLICE!! WARRANT!!” I know that they are wrong. So, if I shoot them, what happens to me? Legally that is. Probably shot trying to escape is what will happen later.
Just wondering about the legal implications of it all.
