Ruh roo! It'll be a pretty boring season if all we get to do is watch the crabbers cleaning, chipping and painting the bilges of the crab boats.

He’s not fishing because government controls the fisheries and decides who will fish and who will not.

The government equivalent of greenpeace is patrolling the frozen waters preventing a fisherman from fishing?

Go Fishing, Cap.

I’d rather spend a bad day in the bilge than a good day at work. :)

Someone please remind Captain Imbecile that if this is the first time in 28 years that he has been disallowed the chance to go fishing, then that means he has been through the other 17 shutdowns and the other past Presidents didnt stop him from running his business. He is an imbecile for blaming this mess on “government” when history has shown us such an obfuscation (whether intentional or not) makes no sense. It is the communist, Kenyan faggot and his democrat lackeys who said to make this as painful as possible, so someone please remind this idiot that there is no need to generalize when the reason is as clear as daylight.

Senate DEMOCRATS hosted Deadliest Catch Captain Keith Colburn on the Hill today to say that he can’t go fishing because of the government shutdown.

If you look up the phrase "useful idiot" in Miriam's Dictionary (as Soetoro calls it), you'll find a pic of Capt. Keith.

Senate RATS are the ones keeping you from fishing you moe-ron.

I stopped watching Deadliest Catch when Phil Harris died. This whining crybaby was one of the other reasons I quit watching. He “recently ran with the bulls at Pamplona?” He doesn’t sound like he’s doing too bad. Typical commie lib DemocRAT.

Keith Colburn and Sig Hansen were on Fox and friends a while back and Colbrun said that global warming is killing the business. Sig Hansen rolled his eyes and said “You just don’t know where to fish”.

He should say the real financial loss he feels is no royalties and residuals from Discovery Channel when his boat is tied up in Ballard. (seattle’s fishing port).

I suspect, at the cost of crabbing and his past season’s catches, he’d have been out of the biz a few seasons ago w/o Discovery’s fees paid to him.

It figures that the biggest idiot captain on the show falls for the Democrat propaganda.

The Russians will be over fishing the area and selling their crab to a lucrative US market while US fishermen go bankrupt sitting in port because of the lack of bureaucrats. Were I in this position I would be fishing as usual and tell the bureaucrats to go to hell. What is Obama going to do send out armed Coast Guard and Navy vessels to keep US fishing boats off the Bering Sea?

““This is the first time in my 28 years of fishing that I haven’t been in the Bering Sea in October getting ready to go fish,””

How many government shutdowns have we had in the past 28 years and why cant he fish during THIS shutdown?

I wonder when these crabbing permit applications are made and when they they are approved/issued?

From this site:

http://alaskafisheries.noaa.gov/ram/crab/fcvpapp.pdf

I copied this:

“...Permits are annual, issued for a crab fishing year (July 1 through June 30)....”

I wonder if this Captain is a “useful idiot” for the Dims or is a willful participant in the Obama administration’s campaign to inflate the perceived impact of the government shutdown which they are insisting upon. The Discovery channel (headquartered in DC, I believe and the producers of Deadliest Catch) is infested with progressive agendanistas.
