During her speech at a Planned Parenthood of Central Oklahoma fundraiser on September 21, liberal feminist icon Gloria Steinem broached an uncomfortable topic for abortion proponents: the pandemic of missing girls.
In 2011, that number was estimated to be 160 million. In her book, Unnatural selection: Choosing boys over girls, and the consequences of a world full of men, pro-abortion author Mara Hvistendahl, a correspondent for Science magazine, blamed ultrasound technology and abortion for the gendercide. This is simply common sense.
I give Steinem points for raising the issue, particularly at a Planned Parenthood event, since it was only last year that a Live Action investigation exposed several PPs around the country as perfectly willing to commit sex-selective abortions.
But I must immediately take back most of those points, because Steinem was dishonest about the main cause of those missing girls, sex-selective abortions. From Steinem’s speech:
There is a son surplus and a daughter deficit because of female infanticide, and there is a huge market in sex trafficking, where the life expectancy is very, very short.
Now if the 160 million missing girls all died by infanticide, there would be piles of dead baby girls on every street corner in many Asian countries. Consider that this number is roughly the population of females in the United States. That’s a lot of girls. Steinem’s claim defies logic.
Gloria Steinem is a smart woman. I know she knows the truth. But liberal feminist abortion pushers can’t acknowledge that abortion is actually devastating to feminism, because to do so would be to shake the foundation of all they stand for.
This woman inspires me.
Oklahomans overwhelmingly hate abortion. It’s only because of the Leviathan that PP has a presence there.

Dude where have you been? China and India have been having this problem for over decades. In some towns in China there are no women for the men to marry. I read this one article where the men were complaining they had to “cook for themselves” which is something men don’t do. Well it’s their own fault they aborted all their would be wives so now the men will do more than cook for themselves.

For years strategic planners in the West have speculated on the “Chinese People’s Bachelor Army” consisting of 100 million unmarried men & the potential for unrest, directed or nondirected.
Directed means this mass of men without wives are enlisted in the PLA & sent anywhere to do the bidding of the Beijing regime, with very little to lose in the bargain.

When people (general women) tell me that abortion is a women’s issue, I generally respond that more than half of those aborted would’ve been women, so, yes, it is.
Gloria Steinem et al do not support genuine feminism. They aided and abetted Bill Clinton, a habitual sexual harasser in the workplace with a decades long history of offense, a man who lied under oath about harassing an underling and bought off the testimony of others to also lie under oath to cover up his offenses.
There were even allegations of rape.
I grew up hearing these so-called feminists say that even consensual sexual affairs between a man and his secretary were improper because it often pressured women in the workplace into offering sexual favors for employment and personal advancement.
They all fell on their knees and shilled for him AND Hillary, some even saying that they would give Mr. Clinton oral servicing because of his legislative and financial support of abortion.
And why wouldn’t a philanderer want his bastard children eliminated out of political expediency?
These same liberal shills also stood idle while Sarah Palin was called a b****, a c***, and personally attacked in the 2008 election cycle (and beyond). So much for the “advancement of women”.
