The following is a screen shot of the comments section at Healthcare.gov and is circulating on the web. Among other startling facts, the user indicates that his fine for electing to 'opt out' of 0bamacare is $4,037.00 and would be attached to his tax return:

Is this disinformation? If not, it's rather chilling and definitely takes the 'Affordable' out of the Affordable Care Act.

FReepers take it under advisement that once you log in and fill out information, even if you elect to NOT have health insurance, they still have your info. in a database and know you're not insured if you fill out the forms.

Yep. Remember the mandatory filing of a 1099 form for all purchases over $600? Coin dealers believed this was so that the government could see who owns precious metals such as gold! I believe this requirement has since been repealed by Congress.

I thought that drivers licenses were issued and controlled by the State, not the IRS or fed gov. How can they threaten loss of a drivers license if that is the case?

The fee in 2014 is 1% of your yearly income or $95 per person for the year, whichever is higher.
In 2014 the fee for uninsured children is $47.50 per child. The most a family would have to pay in 2014 is $285.

So it’s either a fake posting or the “navigator” was completely wrong.

I have health insurance through my employer. Harvard Pilgrim has no idea what my salary is. So every employee enrolled pays the same premium for the same coverage. This INCOME based premium method is Wealth Redistribution.
