I'm requesting prayers for myself and my children. My employer has pulled up stakes in my hometown and I need to find a new position quickly. About 18 months ago my life went into a spiral as my wife of 18 years stunned me with a request for a divorce. As that was winding through the Courts, my office saw a steady dwindling of professionals from 36 to 2. Now that the divorce is wrapping up and I will be awarded 50% custody of our two sons, I am in desperate need of a job so I can take care of my sons, myself and my obligations to my former wife.
I've been on FR for years and have never wished to impose on my fellow Freepers with requests for assistance, but I am frightened for what will happen to me and my boys if I cannot attain employment soon. They are depending upon me. I cannot let them down.

As an attorney you are well educated and can’t find a job using your skills developed over the years? Looks like most of your state is below the national unemployment average.

Prayers for you. But you have to realize that a job may result in a major city relocation. Just pray for guidance.

This may be a blessing in disguise. The company where I was employed went out of business. After searching fruitlessly for another job, I decided to get retrained in a different field and started a successful business of my own. God gives us free will.
