Homeland: Season 3 "Who Do You Trust?"
YouTube ^

Posted on 09/08/2013 6:07:29 PM PDT by FrdmLvr

I watched a marathon session of Homeland, both seasons, in about 3 days via On Demand with NO commercial interruption. I couldn't stop watching it. So, any fans of Homeland here on FreeRepublic? What do you think - who's the mole?

I have on Demand but I have to subscribe to Showtime to get it. I’m too cheap to pay now. Plus, it’s fun to watch the season all at once. That’s what I did with Dexter.
BTW, I’m not reading this thread so no spoilers.

That show jumped the shark for me in season 1.

The first few episodes were amazing, tho.

Just watched the first episode - I'm hoping your remark re jumping the shark doesn't mean it turns fuzzie warm muzzie - like 24 did at times...

I was thinking, as I watched it: "I wonder how far into it before pressures are brought to bear from on high to portray muzzies as warm and fuzzy, peace loving folk who love us to pieces?" (Well, they do, actually - many pieces.)"

Yes, I am questioning how they could allow Carrie to get kidnapped like that, especially after seeing how they had kidnapped Brody much earlier.

Also interesting how Saul's wife had another man in the house when she was expecting him to be away.

Dana didn’t get killed by her homicidal maniac boyfriend :(……Saul got a double whammy there, but I sense a good fight coming up between the slimy senator and Saul and it not turning out well for the senator…..like Saul said, Carrie’s been out there on her own before. But I wonder why Quinn didn’t react sooner. He must have been aware something was going down. Not much of a spy if you ask me!

Well, let’s see. Carrie pregnant. Father is either Brody or the guy she met at the liquor store. Iranian guy is captured, but his status with Iran is compromised. He will prove to be a liability rather than an asset. And then there’s Saul’s wife who seemed to be visibly upset when she found out Saul would not be CIA director, even though she’s banging someone else. I think she is now working for the other side. And next week, we see that Sen. Dickhead will be doing everything within his power to screw Saul over in one way or another.

Does that sum it up?

Every time I see the Senator/nominee, I wonder in what glorious way he will meet his demise. …What’s the point or significance of Carrie’s pregnancy? It can’t be Brody’s (which would be a good twist) - how long has it been in the storyline that she’s been with him? He’s already pretty much fully recovered from his horrendous wounds, so it has to be months. And she’s not showing yet? Hmm, must be the liquor store guy - if so, then, so what? Or does the positive reading mean something else, something to do with her drugs? Because why is she saving all of those sticks? …Interesting take you have on Saul’s wife. I was a little suspicious when she took off for India like that. You’re right, she was a little too concerned about the CIA director thing, and not in a “wifely protective” way. I didn’t read it as “professional concern” which it could be. hmmm, Saul’s wife is the mole? …I was glad to see Dana driving away.
