Folks quickly realize that when a hotel refuses their pet, all they need to do is say the magic words “it is a service animal.” You are not allowed to challenge it’s authenticity.

I’m still waiting for someone to show up with a service horse. Yep, whe I read that in the training materials I was truly amazed.

It is becoming a HUGE problem for the Airlines, as people use it as a way to get around the fees for carriage of animals.

That and now it’s “Comfort animals”, too.

Service horses are miniature horses or small Shetlands and the like. They have been trained but are rare.

They train miniature horse as seeing eye animals because the horse’s vision is far more acute than any dog and their life span is much, much longer.

That makes sense although personally, the logistics of having even a very small horse in one’s house must be...”interesting”.
