>>> Lukewarm = spewed out of mouth.
Wow... you have no idea how well you hit that nail on the head.
It’s been how many years now that BSA has been fighting this battle time and time again, and always won... all the way to the supreme court.
And what was BSA’s core line of constitutional defense???
Well... it was the right of association... the freedom to exclude... because BSA is a private organization, our constitution gave them the right to discriminate based on religious beliefs.
Now look what they’ve done... Homosexuality has just been added to the “acceptable” list of Scouting’s religious beliefs. BSA has just handed over the very tool to Satan that he needed to destroy them with.
Why doesn’t anyone see this???
What happens NOW when some gay kid gets excluded or criticized by a parent or a scout leader?
What happens when someone tells an openly gay scout that he is sinning, and therefore cannot be considered morally straight? Doesn’t the gay kid NOW have legal recourse????
Mark my words... we will see a fresh round of discrimination lawsuits against the BSA next year... and I seriously hope you don’t think they’ll leave the churches out of it.
Yeah... This is a test... One that the churches are failing miserably...
And by the way... in Revelation where the lukewarm reference was made... it doesn’t say that God “WANTS to spew them out of His mouth”...
It says that He will!
Even if the decision were reversed, what would happen with all the activist homosexual scouts that "come out" or join up in the meantime? There is absolutely no doubt that they would be allowed to continue, "in good faith," with their homosexual identity going forward. And so, the infection would be allowed to remain and fester, with a foothold in Scouting, to be capitalized upon with renewed venom until the Scouts again capitulated, or until the organization were finally destroyed.
There is a vast difference in speaking the truth in love and lowering your standards to appear "loving." This is an infection that appears to be spreading throughout all of evangelical Christianity.
A Southern Baptist church down the road from me recently removed "Baptist" from their church's name. I say they might as well also remove "Christian" from their nomenclature.
