Sweet!!! Cop has pens envy.
My friend just sold hers but, that thing was awesome to ride in.
I was only doing 70 (in a 55) when I crested the hill and was pulled over by the State Boys, otherwise I would probably still be in jail.
I used to live and work up there.
To think I was stopped over the Connecticut in a rental for work travel for going 65 in a work zone. Boo hoo. And it was the first Kia in the country, so new they didn’t even have a name. Cop didn’t know what to write and neither did I. (Sportage)
140mph in a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum. Believe it was rated at 375 hp, which is a complete lie, it had to be a lot more.
I got nailed in northern Wyoming doing 146 late one night. I could see for miles and no one was around. I slowed from 160 because I saw the cop a few miles out. $200 ticket, no points. He only wrote me up for 106 to avoid a felony and he wanted to go home as it was the end of shift. For the record, a 1996 Acura TL can do 160+.
Life in the Fast Lane
Dude should have come to Texas
Did 120 in an 83 (? +/-)ford escort 4 cylinder manual transmission with one other guy. Took me 2 miles downhill to get up to speed and 1/2 mile to stop. Thought the doors were going to rattle off and fly away. Boy was I out of my mind...
Slackers.
Drove 165 in a friend’s Pantera across Alligator Alley from Naples to Ft. Lauderdale in 1972 when it was only a 2-lane.....really thankful The Lord looks out for fools, children, idiots and drunks cause I was a fool that day and one little gator crossing the road - which they frequently did back then - would have nailed me.
Oh, yeah. I’ve been the other 3 in the past too.......
Oh,my bro in Naples drove a new R8 and R10 at those speeds last week at Audi’s invitation - but it was on a closed course track.......
I did 160 in a rented Dodge Magnum on a business trip to London Canada in 2009. There was still plenty of speed left in the Dodge but I got nervous and backed off. I even took a picture on my phone to prove it. My buddy had a good laugh when I showed him the picture. Turns out I was doing 160 KPH which is only about 99MPH.

140 in a 2012 BMW 750i. The car wasn’t even breathing hard. But I was..
Also did 120+ in a 2007 Mazda RX8. Had to back off when the front end started to float.
Germany's Autobahn is much fun... until it isn't.
He asked me, “Do you ever want to drive again?” and admittedly, being 19, I certainly did, and told him so, fully expecting to be hauled out and stuck in the back of his car. “Then don't do something so stupid again. Can't write up this ticket, no one would believe that a little 3 cylinder car can go 130.”
I noted it was a turbo, to which he replied: “Shut your mouth, take your license, and don't ever let me see you speeding again.”
I'll note in my defense that it was a straight, flat road in the middle of the desert with a very bright moon, and I backed off before climbing a hill (where the officer was hidden.) Had he decided to write the ticket for only 95, I probably would have foolishly signed it on the spot and accepted the cuffs.
Miss that car dearly. Should never have sold it.
Buried the 140 speedo on my ‘89 Mustang 5.0. The tach kept climbing, but I had a corner to worry about. I trusted that pony in a straight line, not so much in the bendy ones.
