A home run off the bat of Adam Dunn happily found its way to a young Rangers fan. While the boy celebrated his newfound treasure, an evil, tattooed witch stole the ball and threw it back on the field. The woman and her meathead companion celebrated while the boy sulked. Ive lost faith in humanity.
Heres a step-by-step look at the boys heartbreak.

That was mean spirited.
I hope she rots in hell.
I hope Adam Dunn personally gives that boy an autographed ball.
I’m not seeing pain on the boy’s face. It looks like everyone, including the boy, was into throwing the ball back onto the field.
Looked to me like the other people were telling the sister to throw it back on the field.
She was trying to tease and impulsively went too far. Cut get some slack. I’m sure she feels horrible about it.

Looks to me like the ball came from the bat of the other team so it had to be tossed back. The writer doesn’t understand proper baseball fan protocol.
what a pantload. He edits the video and claims she stole it. Why edit, just let it run and we’d all see. I suspect the kid gave it to her, big whup.
This makes sense. Adam Dunn is a player for the White Sox. The family appear to be Texas Ranger fans.
The father is explaining that while it was a great catch, it is tradition to throw home run balls hit by the other team back onto the field.
That is why so many of the fans seem to be saying “throw it back, throw it back”.
Now, it could well be the boy did not understand the nuances of being a fan of a particular team, and how you are to react based on that. And so it does appear he is confused. The sister took the ball and threw it back because that is tradition.
Not if it wasn’t her ball to throw back
He didn’t really edit it out — they were showing the guy running the bases, and so they had cut away when she got the ball.
But if you watch the official baseball feed, you can see exactly what happened.
The boy did not catch the ball. A man caught the ball, probably his father. The man then took the ball and his glove off, and handed them to the boy. He then explained to the boy that he wanted the boy to throw the ball back. Apparently, the boy didn’t want to do that, so the sister took the ball and threw it back.
It is clear that the man gave the ball HE caught to his boy, SO THAT the boy could experience the joy of throwing the ball BACK. When the boy didn’t, someone else did.
This is NOT a case where some boy made a catch, and someone else stole the ball from them.
And the entire park cheered when the ball was thrown back, because that is the tradition. You have to teach kids the traditions. Even though some people really hate this tradition.
I’ve never thrown a ball back, but in my day in Camden Yards you didn’t throw things back like they do today.
Maybe she’s just another everyday Obama voter who takes other people’s income without their permission and shares the wealth by wasting it.
Ding ding we have a winner. Thanks for posting that.
I don’t see any anguish.
I see Morons with season tickets that never watched baseball prior 2012.
I do hope one good thing does come of this and that is we STOP this tasteless nonsense of throwing balls back on the field. It's not good for the sport of baseball and it's a horrible lessen for children.
