Graphic by Billie
I talk to him when I'm lonesome like;
And I'm sure he understands.
When he looks at me so attentively,
And gently licks my hands;
Then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes,
But I never say naught thereat.
For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes,
But never a friend like that.

This is what my Libby looks like at 6 months...she is in hot water, she has been digging in my garden, terrier nature. She will need a small swimming pool this summer, she loves water, empties their drinking dish out trying to play in it.

All That Is Precious
May 1, 2013
Throughout my life, Ive accumulated a lot of stuff. I have boxes of things that at one time were important but over time have lost their intrigue. And, as an unrepentant collector, Ive realized that the thrill is in searching for and acquiring a new piece to add to the collection. Then my attention turns toward the hunt for the next item.
While we pile up many things that are important to us, very little of it is really precious. In fact, over time I have learned that the most precious things in life are not material items at all. Rather, its the people who have loved me and built into my life who are precious. When I find my heart saying, I dont know what Id do without them, I know that they are indeed precious to me.
So when Peter refers to Jesus as a chief cornerstone, elect, precious (1 Peter 2:6), it should resonate in our hearts that He is truly preciousour prized possession above everything and everyone else. Where would we be today without the constant unfailing companionship of His faithful presence, wise and perfect guidance, merciful patience, comfort, and transforming reproof? What would we do without Him? I cant even imagine!
Lord, help us not to focus on fleeting treasures but on
You, our most precious treasure. Teach us the joy
of reveling in You and Your loving presence
and provision in our lives.
Of all that is precious, Jesus tops the list.

I love this, Amy. Thank you and a Good May 1st Morning to you and your family. We wish we could see you more on “your place”. LOL!!
We’ve had a crazy spring....cold, etc. Even the weather reporters were discussing what crazy weather parts of the country were having. Its hardly been a warm enough day to sit outside a few minutes and its May!!! Seems I have to grab a jacket or sweater to go to grocery store or drug store. Of course, these stores keep their their thermostats to FREEZING. But even the outside weather has been crazy. I guess when the warm weather does get here, we can complain how hot it is.....LOL!
We would love to hear how your little (big) girl is doing. I’m sure she is growing up really fast. Give us an update sometime!!

Oh my goodness! A Maltese!
I used to have a Male Maltese named Odie, who rode my Harley with me. he had his own leather and patches.
He was Bad to the Bone.

Pretty, but Feisty! :-)
Also, their hair grows like a human’s, which means they need periodic haircuts so it doesn’t drag on the floor. LOL

They go all the way back to Ancient Rome, and were lap doggies for aristocratic ladies.
Of course, Odie didn’t ride the Harley in my lap. He had his Own padded leather box on the back seat!

I have had 4 dogs in the last 40 years. Odie lived to be 17 and died in my arms. He was a good little guy.
