Tim Tebow has been waived by the Jets, the end of an unsuccessful one-season experiment in New York.
Coach Rex Ryan said in a statement put out by the team in announcing the move Monday morning: "Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped."

Elway did him dirty too imo.
I think he would be Welcome in Buffalo- we need a quarterback better than what we have and the religious community would make him feel right at home
So did Elway and the Broncos.
Canada may be a good fit for him.
Well said! I concur
Imagine him as a back on 3rd and 6+... pitch it to him and allow him to run or toss on stretch.
At the very minimum it would be something defenses don’t have to be serious about now - the choice of attacking the run vs defending the pass. Tebow is expert at that option.
There really is not a serious runner who can throw it worth a dang. Not that Tebow is great at throwing but he did win a few games at a high level in the SEC by forcing defenses into the choice outlined above.
for later
“but he did win a few games at a high level in the SEC”
A few?!?
The Jets with the blessing of John Elway/Broncos did him dirty.
Manning ha! didn’t even take the Broncos s far as Tebow did....I hope the Broncos flail for years.
Charlotte is the home for him. The fans down here will love him for his faith alone. Plus, with the way they played the last two years, Tebow will help get fans into the stadium.
How is getting a better QB “doing him dirty?” Their job is to win. Tebow couldn’t even beat out Mark Sanchez. And at the end of last year when he had a chance to start, the Jets started Greg McElroy over Tebow.
Great guy. Lousy QB.
Tebow’s problems at NYJ say more about that idiot Ryan than about Tebow. How that guy keeps his job is beyond me.
My guess would be Jacksonville. Gabbert, Henne, a rookie quarterback and Tebow. Jax is his hometown. He could fill up the stadium. They need that more than anything else.
He’s still a lousy QB
as a God fearing man, he’ll be fine whatever he does. as for football, speaking as an former college player, he’s fantastic, top notch, but more importantly, he’s a far better man then football player. God bless him.
Of course they didn’t work out the way you hoped. You hoped that your starting QB would be so good that you would never need to think of using Tebow. But he wasn’t, and you still didn’t use Tebow. So you screwed yourself there.
Surprised it took 14 posts for someone to make the obvious point.
Rex Ryan has been Sanchez’ biggest problem, too.
