Feral pigs are becoming a wild problem in the United States.
The wild hogs can now be found in three-fourths of U.S. states — and their populations are growing in many areas — and are estimated to cause $1.5 billion in damages each year, the Associated Press reports. There are currently more than 5 million wild hogs in the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
By all accounts, the animals are quite intelligent. They also sport razor-sharp tusks and can be aggressive toward people and pets.

Similar to what I was thinking. Eyes are kind of blurry from too much internet today, and I thought the headline read “Federal Pigs Going Hog-Wild in U.S.”
Then I thought what the Hey....same thing.

Have a bunch living across the street from me. They dug up my neighbors yard.
I have a neighbor, ethnically Polynesian, who goes to a local ranch every month or so and takes a Black Russian Boar. He has a pit in his back yard that cooks the hog Hawaiian style......all the relatives come over for the event. According to him the ranchers love when he shows up to take a hog. They are very destructive and the populations are exploding......

My nephew hunts them in the swamps of Louisiana. I have some wild boar sausage in the freezer right now. Very dark and tastes nothing like domestic pork. Delicious. A 300+lb hog got him about 150 lbs of usable meat. Free food- go get it- and get some target practice in too.
