So wrong, I don’t know where to begin!
Cardinal Bergoglio’s parents are NOT from Rome.
His father was born in Portacomaro, in Piedmont, a region of Italy that is not only NOT Rome, they didn’t even speak ITALIAN!
His mother was born in Genoa.
Francis of Assissi was NOT Born Francesco di Pietro di Bernardone. He was born Giovani di Bernardone. “Francesco” was a nickname, and “di Pietro” means HIS FATHER was named Pietro. NOT HIM.
Now, you can’t have it both ways. Saint Francis CHANGED his name. Pope Francis is named FRANCIS, after Saint Francis’s NEW name. If Cdl. Bergoglio was naming himself Pope Giovani, maybe it would make sense that Giovani di Pietro di Bernadone. No, wait, it would still be incredibly stupid, because it would be Pope Giovani, not Pope Pietro.
So Pope Francis is NOT named Pope Pietro. He’s not even named after someone who had Pietro as a middle name. And he’s actually the very first pope from outside of anywhere Rome ever ruled (although Rome’s presence in Poland is a little suqishy.) In fact, if you wanted to make a prophecy predicting Pope Francis, you’d probably name him Pope Francis the Not Roman.
Oh, I’m sure the prophecy can be interpreted to cover Pope Francis (or Pope George ;-) the Argentine. Why, there are lots of people named Pedro in Argentina, lots!
